In early October I travelled to Luxembourg to hike the amazing Mullerthal Trail, all 112 km of it! I took my best friend Martin along, and a rain jacket as the weather forecast wasn't sunny and warm.
Route 3 of the Mullerthal Trail is a wonderful mix of water bodies, forests and castles. It takes you along the popular Schiessentümpel waterfall and the small Kaltuffquelle, a wee pond with brown trouts swimming in them. Through beautiful beech forests you reach Larochette, from where you hike onwards to another town with a caste: Beaufort! The trail back to Müllerthal is a highlight, with many small waterfalls and beautiful scenery!

If i may ask...where did you camp? Thinking about this trail too. Did the shorter lee trail in Luxemburg this year. Lovely little country right?
Hi Arjen - yes, Luxembourg is lovely! I did the Eislek Trail some 4 or 5 years ago, very nice, too!
We “camped” in the Youth Hostel in Larochette, which we liked a lot. We also stayed in a Hotel in Müllerthal, a Medieval tower in Echternach and on the camping place in Consdorf. You could stay also everywhere on a camp ground if you want to sleep in your ⛺️😊
