    Great video! Very comprehensive! ❤ I’ve caught so many things especially fees and other mistakes from credit cards and banks. I can’t imagine how much I’ve saved just by being aware and reviewing everything!

    I have my local credit union for all my expenses, and then 2 savings accounts for my sinking and emergency funds. It definitely helps keep me from spending the money!

    Hey, this might seem like a dumb question, but if I budget for $100 a week to go into my Roth IRA and I also have a brokerage account how much should I be putting in weekly to the brokerage account to build it up as well?

    • @PenniesNotPerfection
      @PenniesNotPerfection  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can’t give specific advice as I’m not an advisor and don’t have your full financial picture. Remember that the max for the Roth IRA this year is $7,000!

    You are completely wrong about a credit score. You don’t need a credit score to buy anything, not even a house. Mortgage companies can do “manual underwriting” to complete your loan. To rent an apartment you might need a higher security deposit. A credit score is like a dog chasing its tail. You go into debt so you can have a credit score. You have a credit score so you can go into more debt……….and the cycle continues. A credit score is a number that tells lender how well you play kissy face with debt. I would rather have a credit score that is “undetermined” and have zero debt.

      Sure, they *can* do manual underwriting. You can also purchase a house in cash! But for the vast majority of people that’s an unrealistic path.
      You also don’t have to have ongoing debt to have a credit score. You can use credit cards you pay off monthly without ever paying interest. It may benefit you to also learn from some personal finance resources besides Dave Ramsey since a lot of your wording is straight from his show.

      But congrats on having no debt!

      Seemed implied by your hatred of credit scores and your last sentence stating you’d rather have no credit score and no debt. Forgive me if I made an assumption you paid off your debt.
