I buy EA games when they have potential and they interest me. I think the indie dev's especially those with great ideas but are just starting out, need all the support we can give them. After all it's in our interest if we are gamers.
Early Access can be risky, the game might not get to release, it might develop as you would like. But if we want to see great indie games sometimes we have to share some of the dev's risk. Compared to the cost of other entertainment, a few quid spent on a game that can be enjoyed for many hours can be great value for money.
This looks promising but one of those I'll watch and see how it develops. Sadly, most the time I put these games on my wishlist and they kind of fizzle out and are abandoned before reaching their potential. I vary rarely buy an early access game for that reason, it may never become what was promised, and even if I do buy them early I often wait to play them when finished so I don't burn out on an unfinished game.
Aye, Early Access can be tricky as you say and so disappointing when something really promising never gets finished or developed as anticipated. And, likewise, I've certainly also found that playing a game too early means I either never have the time to return to it or can't face relearning it's particular mechanics.
