*THIS WEEK IS SHINee week. Wednesdays Video Taemin and Jimin’s Collab IS on Patreon. No membership it was just too funny to keep to myself. I am sooooo ready to jump into this Shinee world - what should we watch next?
It's interesting that you pointed out the mixed sex dance crew. Taemin has been using male and female dancers together for his solo activities. He even sometimes use female only dancers. Jonghyun did that as well in his solo. SHINee have been breaking gender barrier since years ago.
So they discovered Taemin? You're on your way to the tunnel where the artistry is out of this world. This is a warning. This is where the saying once you Taem-in, you cant Taem-out started.
One of the members, Jonghyun, once mentioned that there are no set roles in shinee anymore and that every member could be a main vocalist if needed. They are all so extremely talented which is why they are often seen as the standard in the industry when it comes to talents but just as a little show off let me roughly tell you what all the members do besides their roles in the group (this is gonna be long): Onew (Jinki): Leader, main vocalist, song-writer, really popular on variety shows bc of his nice personality & he also acted as a vocal coach for the members on several occasions, musical and drama actor, can also sing opera & also has an own solo album and releases Jonghyun: Main Vocalist, Singer-Songwriter, composer & producer (wrote songs for himself, taemin, shinee, exo, iu & lee hi & he is also the first sm idol with a self written album), Radio DJ (had a radio show called "Blue Night" everyday on midnight were he listened to several listeners worries and stories), also acted as a vocal coach and vocal director, has several solo albums and releases Key (Kibum): lead rapper, lead dancer, lead vocalist, song-writer, fashion director (designed many of shinee's concert outfits), fashion magazine editor (had an own column in Elle), entertainer (set cast in a popular saturday night variety show), model, musical & drama actor and also artist! he once had his own art exhibition gallery, also has several solo albums and releases Minho: Main rapper, dancer, vocalist, song writer (writing his rap parts in shinee songs since debut), really popular actor(has had many roles for dramas and movies, one of them was a movie with megan fox lmao), model, youth ambassador, extremely athletic and won several prizes, has one solo song release Taemin: Main dancer, lead vocalist, maknae (youngest), model, singer-songwriter (he once composed, wrote and choreographed a song called "Day and Night" within a week just to spite his company lmao), dubbed "Idol of idols", "Korean MJ" etc, has several solo albums and releases, was a mentor on survival show called "Unit" meant to give unkown idols a second chance, many MANY idols after 2008 debuted thanks to the impression shinee and especially taemin left on them
They’ve been in the industry for 14 years now, debuting at ages 14-18y/o, the youngest is 27y/o. Please watch the performance of CODE and HEART ATTACK, those two songs are b-sides of the album, Don’t Call Me. Yes, Taemin is the main dancer as well as vocal, whilst all them are also vocals in the group. And also yes, Taemin can play piano. He’s known as the best dancer in Kpop. You can watch his latest MV Criminal and IDEA; dance practices for both are also out on SHINee YT channel. And yes, SHINee started the dance practice a decade (if not more than) ago and set the trend that’s why we all are grateful to watch our own favorite groups doing the same since then til now. Yes. Agreed. Just a little trivia, although lucifer started the trend of dance practice videos on internationally accessible social media, the first one they posted was their debut Replay in 2008. Prior to that, dance practice videos were only for internal training purposes. but because Shinee started 1. The complex dance choreo trend and 2. Singing LIVE whilst performing said crazy choreo, people became interested in seeing them do it so they could do it too and these mad teenagers posted it on the Korean platform. The rest is history. and Tony Testa former MJ choreographer was brought in for their Sherlock dance.

Taemin's MOVE dance practice video is incredible. I've heard experts say it's one of the hardest dances in k-pop. The first time I saw it my mouth was hanging open! Please watch the dance practice before the MV. It's stunning!

Welcome to SHINee World! SHINee is a 2nd. gen., boy group under SM Entertainment. They debuted in 2008 and were between the ages of 14 (Taemin) and 18. SHINee are LEGENDS and ICONS in the Kpop world. Very highly respected & loved in the Kpop industry. No one in Kpop has a bad thing to say about them. Most widely known to have killer live performances with exceptional dancing and phenomenal harmonies & live vocals (sing all songs 85-95% live; just backing vocals recorded). Honey vocals, very rich and warm. Hits the high notes and has a record in Korea of holding the longest, sustained note at 40+ seconds. Songwriter; Actor; Soloist. On a whim, he wanted to try Opera and performed "Nessun Dorma" at one of their concerts --- KILLED IT! As a leader, Onew is very kind, gentle, & nurturing. He is the glue that holds the group together with his quiet support and encouragement. Indulgent father-figure to baby Taemin. Key - black & white diamond sweater: lead rapper; lead vocal; dancer; debuted at 16; now 30 (intl age). Nasal tones and very versatile. Can really hit those high notes. Has a sing/rap style that flows beautifully. After Taemin, Key is the next-best dancer of the group. Songwriter. Actor; Soloist. He is the SASSIEST of the group. No BS with him; tells it like it is and is quite the comedian. He and Minho are total opposites, but love each other even when they bicker endlessly...lol. Key is the fashionista of the group and the actual fashion designer for their stages. Key can also memorize choreos just by watching them once. Key is Taemin's surrogate 2nd Mom after Jonghyun's death and tries to keep Taemin under control....alas, Key is just as savage and uncontrollable...lol. Has a solo career. Minho is called "Flaming Charisma" because he is EXTREMELY competitive and good in just about all sports: soccer, basketball, relay racing, high-dive; high-jump, etc. He does not like to lose. Minho is a excellent actor and has been in the most dramas of all of them. Minho is also the biggest SHINee fan of all. Attends other SHINee members solo events. He is Taemin's big brother, very loving and supportive. Would give Taemin the moon if possible. MV to check out: "Home". Taemin - the one you pointed out as the main dancer; dark hair with striped highlights: main dancer; lead vocal. Debuted at 14; now 27 (intl. age). Soft, extremely versatile voice - sensual and sexy. He can sing Metal just as easily as Rock, R&B, or a soft ballad. Can hit dem high notes and has an ethereal falsetto. Songwriter; actor; plays the piano beautifully, most prolific soloist of the group & tweaks choreo for the group. Couldn't sing at debut due to immature vocal cords and was tutored by Onew & Jonghyun, two of the best vocalists in Kpop. Started learning how to dance at 10 (self-taught; no formal training), auditioned with SM at 11/12, debuted with them as main dancer at 14. One of the very best dancers in Kpop & legendary for same, as well as vocal abilities; a true performance artist unlike any other (not just my opinion). Called the MJ of Korea. Many idols cite him as their inspiration for becoming an idol. First-ever SM male soloist from an active boy group in 2014 at the age of 21. First-ever idol to debut four different times within three different generations of Kpop. Currently an active soloist, member of SHINee, and member of SuperM - very busy guy. Taemin is the maknae (youngest) of the group and has been raised with SHINee. He's a interesting mix of all of them and has absorbed their collective talents like a sponge! Taemin is a chameleon and changes his style, voice, attitude according to which group he's with or acting as a soloist. He's a MONSTER on stage (as described by his backup dancers) and his charisma is off-the-charts mesmerizing. Piercing eyes and stare. He is extremely intelligent, deep, and thoughtful. Very humble guy who is a work-a-holic, dedicated, and will dance 17-hours straight when necessary until he meets his standard of perfection, described as being like tofu with a core of iron. Also takes no bs and can be quite savage when necessary. Gets what he wants whether from his SHINee hyungs or SM. Spoiled rotten by his SHINee hyungs but also very loving towards them. He has albums both in Korean and Japanese. Just came out with his latest album in 2020. MVs to definitely check out: "Criminal" and "IDEA" from his 2020 album, "Want", "Famous", "Move", "Danger" (his 2014 solo debut song), "Ace", "Thirsty", "Drip Drop", "Press Your Number", "Under My Skin", "Sayonara Hitori", "Flame of Love", etc.................too many to list here. Jonghyun: main vocal, dancer. Debuted at 18. Very powerful, rich, most versatile voice, slightly nasal. This man was probably the best vocalist Kpop had ever heard, just phenomenal. High notes were no problem for him. He could also rap quite well and I think the 3rd best of the group (as they all can rap). Prolific songwriter (wrote over 40% of SHINee's songs, and songs for other artists. Could play several instruments (including being quite talented with the Kazoo); musical genius; Book author. Jonghyun wore his heart on his sleeve and thought very deeply about things. He was most often the one who cried the easiest, especially during moving performances. He also cared deeply about people and social issues. Jonghyun and Taemin knew each other before meeting the other SHINee members, as they were trainees together before being assigned to the group. As such, elder JH took Taemin under his wing and became, as JH put it, "Taemin's 2nd. mother". He was very protective of Taemin. JH also designated himself as Taemin's fan club president, attended Taemin's concerts, even delaying his own concert by 2 days just so he and Onew could attend Taemin's 1st solo concert. He was so proud of Taemin's singing growth and hardwork. Sadly, we lost Jonghyun to his life-long battle with chronic depression in 2017. This was devastating to SHINee, but their bond helped them to pull it together and continue on to keep Jonghyun's dream of SHINee forever alive. As they say, SHINee will always be 5 = 5HINee. Now, JH is their guardian angel and with them in spirit. The roles have been blurred over the years and they're all vocals but these are their positions: -Onew (Lee Jinki): Main Vocal -Taemin (Lee Taemin): Main Dancer -Minho (Choi Minho): Main Rapper -Key (Kim Kibum): All-rounder/Main multi Jonghyun was a main vocal. He was also a prolific writer and composer who wrote songs not only for SHINee but for other artists like EXO, IU, and Lee Hi
With Jonghyun, he was the main vocalist and if you take the SHINee journey you'll see why. Although Onew has the strongest most consistent vocals of the group, jonghyun vocals was the icing on top because of his adlibs and runs. But now all 4 members can stand solid on their own and when they sing as a whole collectively, their sound is magic, and you can hear Jonghyun's essence shining thru each one of them now. The best thing to react to SHINee is to watch their live performances because they are a group that is famous for their live vocals. They are also called CDnee. Their ballad music is a gem!
Yes. Honestly, hearing them live is a whole other level of eargasm. Way back when they first started, the stereotype was that idols can't really sing. You may have the singer, and the rest are the rapper dancer and visual. The belief was so rooted that there was a separation between singers as artists and idols. thanks to 5hinee and the voices of jonghyun and onew especially, the ability to sing live while performing was called the shinee standard. Even senior artists used to watch their dry runs. even if you dont stan shinee, it is very likely your idol is a shinee stan. Yes Jimin is good friends with Taemin, padding squad and all. Taehyung is friends with Minho even if he isn't part of the wooga squad, he is part of the hwarang hyungs.

Shinee is really legendary. They sadly lost their lead singer Jonghyun in 2017 and they're still this good. Taemin is the maknae. He's also a very popular solo artist (see Move, Want, Criminal and Idea) and he is also in SuperM which is SM Entertainment's super group made up of idols from other major SM groups including Shinee, EXO and NCT. Oh and he's one of Jimin's closest friends and bff of EXO Kai.
The guy with crazy dance move is TAEMIN. He is one of the best dancers in the whole Kpop industry. He is also known as MJ of Kpop. You really need to check out his recent songs "Criminal" and "Idea". If you watch those two MVs, you will see why he is called MJ of Kpop. I have never seen anyone as mesmerizing as TAEMIN. You watch any of his MV, I bet you won't be disppointed.
lol! I took the SHINee journey in 2017 and I can confidently say I now bleed Pearl Aqua! I am 50, and never in my life did I think I would become someone that belongs to a "fandom", let alone actually call myself a Shawol (and a Blinger), or much less learn Kpop terminology! I went to a SuperM concert here in the US in 2019 just so I could see Taemin! It breaks my heart that I'll never see OT5, but one way or the other, one day I will see OT4!! My daughter has been a Shawol for 13 years (she's an MVP), and was lucky enough to see OT5 here in the US twice, and I am so insanely jealous of her and so upset with myself that I didn't go with her to see them in 2017 during their SWC-V world tour! I have since expanded to other groups (I love Seventeen and MonstaX) and even K-dramas, but SHINee will forever hold my heart! SHINee World is not just a fandom, but a way of life! Our dog is named Jinki and my cat is named Deja Boo!

Categories don't matter when it comes to Shinee cuz all of them can sing and dance :D The one in blue is Taemin, one of the best dancers in K-pop and well known for his solo stuff like Move, Criminal and Want which you definitely should check out! The purple-haired one is Onew, the leader and lead vocal of the group. The one wearing a beret is Key and he contributed a lot to their fashion style in this comback. And you seem to know Minho already, the main rapper! Lastly there's Jonghyun, who sadly is not with us anymore but always will be in Shawol's hearts

SHINee as a whole were called The Princes of K-pop and are now known as Performance Kings and Stage Masters. They were the ones that made popular the dance practice videos and the first group that really set the high standard of having to be able to perform intricate dance choreos while still being excellent vocalists. They're also usual guests on variety shows because they're really talented comedians (and I don't mean that as all the stans that think their favs are the variety kings. Objectively speaking in that regard Shinee is 3rd after Suju and BtoB) They are all successful in solo endeavors. Minho has been an ambassador of Youth and Unicef and a fashion model. Him and Onew are also award winning actors. Key and Onew also have music theater experience. Key was appointed a fashion director in SM and he designs their stage outfits. He's also a plastic artist (he had gallery exhibitions of his artwork) and a TV presenter. Jonghyun was a published author, composer, lyricist and unarguably one of the god tier vocalists in kpop From all of them the most successful on their solo music career is Taemin. He's known as the "Legendary Male Soloist" "The Idol of Idols" and is often considered the best male dancer in k-pop (by professionals and also by AI computer analysis). His solo sounds nothing like k-pop and is recognized more as an artiste than an idol. I'm glad you noticed them having female dancers. Shinee as a whole and Taemin specially are one of the only acts that do that (the others being TVXQ duo) and the dancers usually play an active role on the performances and are not there just to fill a stage.

Minho has various acting career such as "Hwarang", "Illang" ect. He also appeared together with Melania Trump. This video clip is so famous and funny. Key is a multi talented person. He speaks several languages fluently. He also designed costumes for shinee concerts. His English accent is one of a kind. Onew has the most unique voice in kpop. He also played a doctor in DOTS (descendants of the sun). Ppl say that onew looks like the famous actor song joong ki. And there is a legend vocal king "kim jonghyun". He not only wrote and composed the Music but also wrote a novel. He was a radio dj nearly 3 years. All of them are in one group. It is insane. They are super funny. Real clown and comedian. That is why we call them a legend. After nearly 3 years military breaks(three of them), they still look young and fresh. (Their average ages are over 30ties.) Their debut was sensational. After 14 years experience in kpop, they are still top of top and sensational and very humble. That is why we love SHINEE

If you're going to look into their music some of my favorite title tracks are View, Lucifer, Good Evening, and Juliette and some of their most famous tracks are Replay, Ring Ding Dong, and Sherlock! The genres get super varied, they're known as a group that can do any concept. I'm an SM stan as it is so I've loved them forever and I love seeing new people find them!

They are adored in Korea. Nicknamed ‘the princes of Kpop. One of the main vocalists committed suicide, and rocked the Kpop industry. All the members had to complete military service). But now they are all back. (The main dancer who you like is Teamin). He is a massively successful solo artist, and yes.... he was Jimins number 1 inspiration. Hence the similarity.

SHINee is my bias group, when I got married I walked to an instrumental cover of their song Close the Door and my cat is named Poet|Artist (Jonghyun’s final album) we call him Poe. Yes, with SHINee they all can do it all. They are a group of 5 amazing vocalists, 5 impressive dancers, 5 visuals, 5 rappers, 5 top actors, and 5 of the most talented and unique voices in all of Kpop. Their vocalists can rap and their rappers can become a main singer anytime. And they have one of the best harmonies you will ever hear. But where SHINee truly shines is with their live performances. Once you see some of their concert performances you will be even more blown away, and you will understand why they are so highly respected by their peers. SHINee live is unmatched.

Her aunt is army so that's there too 💜 since you like Minho, pay attention to the lyrics, although the translations can sometimes lose certain poetic nuances, their lyrics have depth and poetry to it. Although they weren't allowed creative input, they've been tweaking and writing lyrics from day 1. minho isn't credited as much vocally but he has good ideas musically and lyrically. although don't call me is savage, their ballads are incredibly sweet and deep
If you want to see their evolution, you should start with Replay, their debut song. Replay is from 2008 but it was reuploaded in 2011. You should check the mvs in order until 2014, and then you can see Taemin`s solo work, he was the first SM`s solois from a male group. Jonghyun, Onew (Jin ki), and Key (Ki bum) have solo albums and Minho has a song too.

Haha i was just thinking of Minho's dynamite stage. And of course all their concerts and variety shows. I actually fell in love with shinee after watching them in variety shows. They are just too funny and chaotic.

Yay so nice to see another SHINee video again! since you’re curious about Min Ho let me just drop a few more tidbits 😜 His handle is flaming charisma Minho (lmao cheesy name he picked when he was young but he truly lives up to it). Very very passionate, competitive, radiant positive energy, with simple motto of do the best in all you can. He’s an athlete in disguise of an idol. At Idol Star Athletics Championships, they call him the legend of legends (lol again) or prince of ISAC. Just because he’s a monster when it comes to sports For his military service he volunteered to serve one of the toughest camps being the Marines where he ranked 3rd out of 1100 recruits. Promoted to be marine sergeant. In a race between the marines and UDT (something like seals) he came in 4th beating all the UDTs except those that were former athletes. Flaming passion and charisma indeed. Gave up his final leave to help trainee soldiers. #1 supporter of everyone in SHINee. Never fails to turn up for members. In fact. The first thing he did when he came out from military (like literally the day he came out) he went directly to see the members at Taemins performance. At this point i think SHINee is just a very special group because of how much like a family they are (genuinely) and this is rare in celeb world. Likely because they’ve been through so much together and many many years. Deviation - Girls generation (SNSD) is another one. Oh yes and in case you don’t know - SNSD is the undisputed legend of 2nd Gen girl group (even bigger than SHINee hahaha), they are SHINee’s seniors by just abit. SNSD is still active although they are on a hiatus. Some members have already left SMEnt Label to pursue their own paths, but they are still part of SNSD. They are thinking of doing a comeback. And it will WRECK HAVOC when this happens I honestly can’t wait.

Thank you for your reaction. I enjoyed it very much💕 btw, shinee have been around for almost 13 years since they debut in 25 May 2008. And well it’s great seeing someone enjoying Shinee as much as i do because I actually started listening to kpop due to Shinee so they always have a special place in my heart. They have hundreds of good music. Some you might love, some you might not(and that’s perfectly fine). IF you are going to react to more of shinee in the future, besides watching their mv’s, i would hope that you also would look at their live concert. Because for me Shinee always shines the most on stage. Their live stages have their personality written all over it so i think that might give you a glimpse of how they really are :)
Literally 4 out of 5 shinee members are in their 30s only taemin is in his late 20s yet they still dance powerful songs and look so beautiful. Shinee is a group worth staning. You should watch more of their variety shows and stuff. Their episode on Knowing Brothers was good.
I love this, cause YES. Taemin is a well respected and truly beloved idol within idols and fandoms cause he is THAT idol. Dude can dance, sing, rap, compose and produce. It'd take me a whole ass life to enlist his virtues, so I'll just say he's a legend. Big love for my fellow shawols :)

SHINee is just SO good. I knew who they were but I went down the rabbit hole after Don't Call Me. They're just so good. Also they all seem like sweethearts.
Shinee is and will be standard, the innovative group with the most powerful vocals, the group with the best stage presence and the best live performances... The only group in which all its members are excellent vocalists, Key and Minho are rappers but they can sing the same high notes to the second that's why they have such a varied discography they don't have to deoender to rap on every song. Too bad that we shawols are not so active on networks. Jonghyun we miss you

It's interesting that you pointed out the mixed sex dance crew. Taemin has been using male and female dancers together for his solo activities. He even sometimes use female only dancers. Jonghyun did that as well in his solo. SHINee have been breaking gender barrier since years ago.

Yes. Agreed. Just a little trivia, although lucifer started the trend of dance practice videos on internationally accessible social media, the first one they posted was their debut Replay in 2008.
Prior to that, dance practice videos were only for internal training purposes.
but because Shinee started 1. The complex dance choreo trend and 2. Singing LIVE whilst performing said crazy choreo, people became interested in seeing them do it so they could do it too and these mad teenagers posted it on the Korean platform. The rest is history.

Taemin's MOVE dance practice video is incredible. I've heard experts say it's one of the hardest dances in k-pop. The first time I saw it my mouth was hanging open! Please watch the dance practice before the MV. It's stunning!

Has a sing/rap style that flows beautifully. After Taemin, Key is the next-best dancer of the group. Songwriter. Actor; Soloist. He is the SASSIEST of the group. No BS with him; tells it like it is and is quite the comedian. He and Minho are total opposites, but love each other even when they bicker endlessly...lol. Key is the fashionista of the group and the actual fashion designer for their stages. Key can also memorize choreos just by watching them once. Minho is called "Flaming Charisma" because he is EXTREMELY competitive and good in just about all sports: soccer, basketball, relay racing, high-dive; high-jump, etc. He does not like to lose. Minho is a excellent actor and has been in the most dramas of all of them. Minho is also the biggest SHINee fan of all. Attends other SHINee members solo events. He can sing Metal just as easily as Rock, R&B, or a soft ballad. Can hit dem high notes and has an ethereal falsetto. Songwriter; actor; plays the piano beautifully, most prolific soloist of the group & tweaks choreo for the group. Couldn't sing at debut due to immature vocal cords and was tutored by Onew & Jonghyun, two of the best vocalists in Kpop. Started learning how to dance at 10 (self-taught; no formal training), auditioned with SM at 11/12, debuted with them as main dancer at 14. Jonghyun: main vocal, dancer. Debuted at 18. Very powerful, rich, most versatile voice, slightly nasal. This man was probably the best vocalist Kpop had ever heard, just phenomenal. High notes were no problem for him. He could also rap quite well and I think the 3rd best of the group (as they all can rap). Prolific songwriter (wrote over 40% of SHINee's songs, and songs for other artists. Could play several instruments (including being quite talented with the Kazoo); musical genius; Book author. Jonghyun wore his heart on his sleeve and thought very deeply about things. He was most often the one who cried the easiest, especially during moving performances. He also cared deeply about people and social issues. Jonghyun and Taemin knew each other before meeting the other SHINee members, as they were trainees together before being assigned to the group. As such, elder JH took Taemin under his wing and became, as JH put it, "Taemin's 2nd. mother". He was very protective of Taemin. JH also designated himself as Taemin's fan club president, attended Taemin's concerts, even delaying his own concert by 2 days just so he and Onew could attend Taemin's 1st solo concert. He was so proud of Taemin's singing growth and hardwork. Sadly, we lost Jonghyun to his life-long battle with chronic depression in 2017. This was devastating to SHINee, but their bond helped them to pull it together and continue on to keep Jonghyun's dream of SHINee forever alive. As they say, SHINee will always be 5 = 5HINee. Now, JH is their guardian angel and with them in spirit.

Although Onew has the strongest most consistent vocals of the group, jonghyun vocals was the icing on top because of his adlibs and runs. But now all 4 members can stand solid on their own and when they sing as a whole collectively, their sound is magic, and you can hear Jonghyun's essence shining thru each one of them now. Yes. Honestly, hearing them live is a whole other level of eargasm. Way back when they first started, the stereotype was that idols can't really sing. You may have the singer, and the rest are the rapper dancer and visual. The belief was so rooted that there was a separation between singers as artists and idols.

Shinee is really legendary. They sadly lost their lead singer Jonghyun in 2017 and they're still this good. Taemin is the maknae. He's also a very popular solo artist (see Move, Want, Criminal and Idea) and he is also in SuperM which is SM Entertainment's super group made up of idols from other major SM groups including Shinee, EXO and NCT. Oh and he's one of Jimin's closest friends and bff of EXO Kai.

lol! I took the SHINee journey in 2017 and I can confidently say I now bleed Pearl Aqua! I am 50, and never in my life did I think I would become someone that belongs to a "fandom", let alone actually call myself a Shawol (and a Blinger), or much less learn Kpop terminology! I went to a SuperM concert here in the US in 2019 just so I could see Taemin! It breaks my heart that I'll never see OT5, but one way or the other, one day I will see OT4!! My daughter has been a Shawol for 13 years (she's an MVP), and was lucky enough to see OT5 here in the US twice, and I am so insanely jealous of her and so upset with myself that I didn't go with her to see them in 2017 during their SWC-V world tour! I have since expanded to other groups (I love Seventeen and MonstaX) and even K-dramas, but SHINee will forever hold my heart! SHINee World is not just a fandom, but a way of life! Our dog is named Jinki and my cat is named Deja Boo!

SHINee as a whole were called The Princes of K-pop and are now known as Performance Kings and Stage Masters. They were the ones that made popular the dance practice videos and the first group that really set the high standard of having to be able to perform intricate dance choreos while still being excellent vocalists. They're also usual guests on variety shows because they're really talented comedians (and I don't mean that as all the stans that think their favs are the variety kings. Objectively speaking in that regard Shinee is 3rd after Suju and BtoB)
They are all successful in solo endeavors. Minho has been an ambassador of Youth and Unicef and a fashion model. Him and Onew are also award winning actors. Key and Onew also have music theater experience.
Key was appointed a fashion director in SM and he designs their stage outfits. He's also a plastic artist (he had gallery exhibitions of his artwork) and a TV presenter.
Jonghyun was a published author, composer, lyricist and unarguably one of the god tier vocalists in kpop
From all of them the most successful on their solo music career is Taemin. He's known as the "Legendary Male Soloist" "The Idol of Idols" and is often considered the best male dancer in k-pop (by professionals and also by AI computer analysis). His solo sounds nothing like k-pop and is recognized more as an artiste than an idol.
I'm glad you noticed them having female dancers. Shinee as a whole and Taemin specially are one of the only acts that do that (the others being TVXQ duo) and the dancers usually play an active role on the performances and are not there just to fill a stage.

since you like Minho, pay attention to the lyrics, although the translations can sometimes lose certain poetic nuances, their lyrics have depth and poetry to it.
Although they weren't allowed creative input, they've been tweaking and writing lyrics from day 1.
minho isn't credited as much vocally but he has good ideas musically and lyrically.

If you want to see their evolution, you should start with Replay, their debut song. Replay is from 2008 but it was reuploaded in 2011. You should check the mvs in order until 2014, and then you can see Taemin`s solo work, he was the first SM`s solois from a male group. Jonghyun, Onew (Jin ki), and Key (Ki bum) have solo albums and Minho has a song too.

SNSD is still active although they are on a hiatus. Some members have already left SMEnt Label to pursue their own paths, but they are still part of SNSD. They are thinking of doing a comeback. And it will WRECK HAVOC when this happens I honestly can’t wait.

Thank you for your reaction. I enjoyed it very much💕 btw, shinee have been around for almost 13 years since they debut in 25 May 2008. And well it’s great seeing someone enjoying Shinee as much as i do because I actually started listening to kpop due to Shinee so they always have a special place in my heart.
They have hundreds of good music. Some you might love, some you might not(and that’s perfectly fine). IF you are going to react to more of shinee in the future, besides watching their mv’s, i would hope that you also would look at their live concert. Because for me Shinee always shines the most on stage. Their live stages have their personality written all over it so i think that might give you a glimpse of how they really are :)

Literally 4 out of 5 shinee members are in their 30s only taemin is in his late 20s yet they still dance powerful songs and look so beautiful. Shinee is a group worth staning. You should watch more of their variety shows and stuff. Their episode on Knowing Brothers was good.

I love this, cause YES. Taemin is a well respected and truly beloved idol within idols and fandoms cause he is THAT idol. Dude can dance, sing, rap, compose and produce. It'd take me a whole ass life to enlist his virtues, so I'll just say he's a legend. Big love for my fellow shawols :)

You should check out their Heart Attack stage (no MV for this one) also they recently covered IU's song Dear Name. It really shows off their vocals and harmonies bc everyone in SHINee can sing. And Taemin (the dancer you pointed out) he's a legend as a soloist too. You should check out his song Criminal or Move! But just a warning his solo work is a bit spicy lol

The one in the blue shirt is Taemin. That's why when I commented on your reaction to the MV I said I couldn't believe people didn't know who he was lol. He is a phenomenal dancer. The one who you keep saying that you really like his voice is our lovely leader, Onew. His voice is so unique and just amazing!

The debuted in 2008. The haven’t released anything as a group for 2years and 6 months due to Korea’s mandatory military service. Three of them were enlisted during the time while TAEMIN, the “dancer guy,” has been promoting solo. That’s probably why you haven’t seen them before :)

Shinee is and will be standard, the innovative group with the most powerful vocals, the group with the best stage presence and the best live performances... The only group in which all its members are excellent vocalists, Key and Minho are rappers but they can sing the same high notes to the second that's why they have such a varied discography they don't have to deoender to rap on every song. Too bad that we shawols are not so active on networks.

SHINee have been around for 13-14 years the order of members goes Onew Key Minho and Taemin with our angel Jonghyun 👼 looking down on them. The fandom name is Shawol (SHINee World). Onew Key and Minho have not long come back from the military whilst Taemin was doing solo work and SuperM work. Would recommend watching Replay (debut song), Lucifer and Everybody 😊
