    I love my Space A40.
    Many people complain about bass being muddy or not enough. But with HearID + Custom EQ + eartips with good sealing, it becomes decent enough. Maybe earlier firmware had poor bass? 4.19 has no issue at all.
    Excellent customization in details. I love being able to choose to remove NC from ambient cycling in double tap. I don't use NC when I'm at home so this really helps make my life easier when I can only switch between transparency and normal modes.
    Sound quality is good too. Only 1 driver but you could feel the high resolution sound. It's well detailed and clean sound.
    I thought about getting liberty 4, but I'm going to enjoy my A40 until liberty 4 pro will come out. I wonder when that will be?

    Been using the A40s the last couple of days...3 things. The battery life is ultimate, the noise canceling is 100% top tier...and the bass is no joke at all. I turned my system up in my car...I hit play on these things and the a40s definitely makes sure you can hear the music from the phone precisely. Pop, 80s Rock, rap...didn't matter.

    I almost never comment on headphone/earphone videos, but I’ll make an exception here. The Space A40 earphones look great. BUT after trying a ridiculous number of earphones, I found one pair that made the music feel ALIVE. That pair is the Liberty 3 Pro. I will wait for the Liberty 4 Pro, if indeed that’s a thing. And if it isn’t, I’m still good. Because these sound amazing. I can honestly say that I would be happy with them for twice the price. My favorite, ever. (And I LOVE the Airpods Pro.) Haven't got A40 Yet But Have The Space Q45 . Been A B Compare To Q35 About 6 Hours Plus Now . After EQing The Q45 I Still Have To Give A Slight Edge To The Q35 With Nearly Same EQ . The Q45 Have A Different Sound Out Of The Box Than The Q35 So I Have To Up The Bass In My EQ For Q45 . Even So The Q35 Have More Bass Punch . This Is Not To Say The Q45 Are Bad They Are Excellent I'm Listening To This Video Using Q45 . I Don't Like That You Can't Use BASS UP With My Custom EQs Which Seems Pointless To Even Have BASS UP Unless You Know Something I'm Doing Wrong . The ANC Is Noticably Better On Q45 . You Can Listen Wired Passively To The Q45 With Them Powered Off Which You Previously Said Could Not Be Done . LDAC Is Awesome And Gives Wired Passive Listening A Run For It's Money . The Transparent Mode Is Better Than Q35 And Sounds Like I'm Not Wearing The Q45 At All . Well You Have Them Both So What Do You Say Comparing Life Q35 To Space Q45 ?

  • @kaecatlady
    @kaecatlady 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    Amazon delivered my Space A40's about two hours ago, and gave them a listen straight out of the box, without messing with the EQ at all.
    I LOVE these earbuds when they're in Transparency mode. The sound is rich and balanced, and the bass levels are perfect. Noise-Cancelling mode also sounds good, even though it's a bit more bassy than I like. Still, I could get used to the sound and enjoy listening to my songs, especially in a room with a bunch of other people. To my ear, the Space A40's sound better than the Liberty 3 Pro's, because I'm sensitive to treble, and the Liberty 3 Pro's sounded sharp and grabby to me in the higher ranges.
    The problem with these earbuds, to me is "Normal" mode. There's such a huge difference between the quality of the sound in normal mode (almost NO bass at all) and the other two modes, that I initially thought the earbuds were in transparency mode before I installed the app.
    What I really find worrisome about the sound difference between "normal" and the other modes is how drastically the volume drops when I switch to "normal" mode.
    I listen to most songs at around 70%, but when I switch to normal mode in these earbuds, the volume instantly drops from 70% to 50% or less, like someone came and stuck cotton between the buds and my eardrums. It's bad enough that I have to crank the volume to full--and even then, it's not loud enough to really enjoy some songs.
    I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, or does my set of buds have some sort of defect?

    • @shaunbrady15
      @shaunbrady15 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The volume should dramatically increase when you EQ them. I'm still waiting on mine to come in, but with all my other soundcore buds, the volume increases when EQ

      @kaecatlady 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Late to update, but Soundcore actually told me to return them to Amazon and get another pair, as, based on my description--and having me try a few things--they concluded that the buds themselves were defective.
      The new pair did indeed sound MUCH better, but the sound in "Normal" mode was still discernibly different than it was in other two modes--until the very next update.
      Talk about a change! "Normal" mode now sounds as good as the other two modes, though I do find them to be better-sounding (to me) when I customize the EQ, whereas Hear IQ is best for the other two modes.
      Either way, I'm now quite in love with these earbuds, and I wanted to thank you all for suggesting that I talk to Soundcore and let them know what was going on. They were awesome with how quickly they got back to me, and with their unwillingness to make excuses, something that hasn't always been the case when I've had to deal with other companies; CS.

      I have a feeling it's to replace the pro series, I mean look at them, far more battery than the liberty 3 pro, they sound better imo, and have ldac, and have comparable anc performance, for me the fit was way better as after a while the wingtips won't stay on the liberty 3 pro very well, and that really effects the seal. The reason why I think they're replacing the pros is that, the Space headphones replaced the premium line of their headphones, so why would it not be the same for the pros? There's also no reason to kill off the life series of earbuds, the life a3i are still the best earbuds for 60 dollars.

    I originally had some JBL Live pro+ and I was happy with them until I lost one of the buds. I then decided to splash and get the sony WF-1000XM4's, it was at that point I realised what truely great sound was. The clarity, bass and sound staging were incredible for a pair of earphones. After realising they were faulty and many people reporting problems with them I got them refunded which I hated. I then got some cheaper earphones the earfun pro 3's which were decent but the case battery was a joke and I couldn't stop thinking about the quality and sound staging so they went back too. Third times the charm I got the librety pro 3's and we have a keeper.
    I missed the sound staging so much, being able to identify certain instruments and vocals and almost feeling like your in the studio with them. If the space A40's can't provide a quality like that, it's definately the libreties the whole way for me.

Since the Votomy V22 is no longer available anywhere, is there a new reigning volume champ? I've heard that the Earfun Free Pro 2 puts out over 120 dB, but that sounds a bit inflated. Not a guarantee to work for you, but good way of the stem was angled into the base of the Liberty Air. 2 Pro made it so I couldn't get a deep enough insertion.
      It's the opposite for me with the Liberty 3 Pro which has a wind kit and stays very secure. It seems like people that fit the Liberty 3 Pro do not fit the Liberty air to pro and vice versa pretty frequently

    1. You didn't mention the "MultiPoint feature of the A40's, but it turns out the L3P's have this feature also. Maybe you could add a test category to check out how well multipoint works? Or even just comment whether the buds have the feature?
    2. Low-latency gaming mode. I think you've noted whether or not buds have this feature, and if/how well it works in other (newer?) reviews, but I didn't notice you comment on it in this review.
    3. "Pocketability", the size of the case and if it fits discreetly in a a pants pocket. "Are those Liberty 3 Pro's in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?" Perhaps add a comment about this to your "Comfort and Grip" section. Maybe include the process of getting the buds out of the case and into your ears in the comfort and grip section. Who wants to fumble around just getting the earbuds out of their case? I want to just grab the earbud first-time and have it just come out. Some magnetic-docking buds are fumble-y and have a poor gripping surface, such that it often takes 2-3 tries to get the bud out of the case, and having to actually pay inordinate attention to the process. My current favorite on "Pocketability" is the EarFun Free Pro 2, but for some inexplicable reason, the EarFun app doesn't support this model. The Space A40's are almost as good on pocketability as the EarFun Free Pro 2.
    Overall, the Space A40's have been great and are now my go-to all purpose earbuds for when I'm on the go. I may use the L3P's for desk-based time because of their superior mic quality.

    Hello Jefe, I bought soundcore liberty 3 pros based on your options among others reviews and I really like the sound, but unfortunately the wings are not comfortable for my ears (tried all 3 of then couple of times) and the touch controls for me are really irritating (they keep unregistering presses)- I guess touch controls on earbuds are not for me.
    Are there any tws buds with a similar sound quality to liberty 3 pros with good physical buttons?

    Thanks for another excellent review. As we do not have the option of trying either of these 2 Soundcore ear buds in S.A. A quick question. Soundpeats mini pro are the only ear buds that are comfortable in my ears. The shape does not penetrate into my ear and hurt it. In this case, which of the 2 would you choose? My ears are about the same size as yours.

    Excellent vid Jefe!.. Thank you for putting these videos together. I think I'm on the 5th or 6th video in your collection so far. I have one question. Is there a product on the market that combines the 5 strengths of the A40 with the hardware advantages, sound quality and Mics of the L3P? If there is a product on the market the above feature set it would seem to be the clear winner overall and I think that would seal the deal for me.

I was looking for them compared to the new edifier pro 2 but selected these mostly bc features. For me sound quality was better, because liberty 3 pros are very much lacking in the vocals/mids department, even with an EQ, this is especially noticeable in Metal. I think these are supposed to replace the pros series of earbuds, considering that the space replaced the life Q series headphones which is another one of their top end headphones, but also considering how much the space a40s undercut the liberty 3 pros in terms of value. You're getting really great battery, even with LDAC and ANC on at the same time, the liberty 3 pros were lacking in the battery department, comparable ANC performance, way better fit as the wing tips start not fitting well on the liberty 3 pro after a few months and that really effects how they seal, as well as they actually go into your ear, and are more compact and smaller, I'm actually able to sleep in these. Also Jeffe was right on the transparency, the transparency on these were better, these just came out too, so that's not including how good these are going to be later with some firmware updates to improve anc, battery, and sound quality, as well as mic quality.
