I have been looking forward to the March block-a-day! I think I’ll do 4 blocks each day and make it a large bed-size quilt. My daughter has an Etsy shop of handmade fabric items. She passes her scraps along to me. I have several bags to cut up and use. This has gotten me excited and ready to jump in and reduce my scraps! Thank you so much for doing this. I have enjoyed doing it in the previous years and am all in to do it again. This time of year can be difficult - we’ve had snow continuously for 5 months, It can still be cold even though the light is coming back, and it is the anniversary of our son’s death, so this project is a bright spot for me! I hope you continue this each year. Thanks again for all your work to make this possible!

@Roseanne Carr Atkinson I, too, saved every magazine. The collection was crazy. After several moves, I decided to go through and only save a few because I purchased the USB stick from the company that has all the magazines on it. Saves a lot of space. 😃

Good Morning from Lincoln NE. The sun is shining but it is very cold, wind chill -16, actual temp 4. This after several days of 50's. You mentioned half-square triangles as your favorite. They are mine too. You can do so many designs with them. Have a wonderful day. Glad you got to do some fun things. Carol B.

You hit all of my interests with this video! Will be following Mr. Greg and getting my NP Senior Pass this year too, woo hoo!! That view in Shenandoah looks just like some we saw at the NC end of the Blue Ridge Parkway last year. We look forward to visiting the VA end and Shenandoah is on our east coast NP camping wish list.
The 30th anniversary APQ issue has been fun to look at! I started quilting in 2002 and started collecting back issues of quilt magazines from the beginning. At one point I got all of the first year of APQ issues and made a flannel quilt from one of the designs in the first issue which is a family favorite. I've been downloading the blocks and am looking forward to making the "Blast from the Past" sampler.
Thanks for the early heads up on the next "BAD" project (pun intended!!)! I'll need to figure out what stash I want to hit to do it. I layered my "String Beans" quilt this weekend and will get it done as soon as I finish quilting another quilt.

Fun outing with Mr. Gregg! Glad you got to do that trip! Road trips are always fun for us. We enjoy spring wildlife when we travel. I saw the deer in a field on Monday when I went to work with my DH.
I've made all three of your block-a- day quilts! I have to make this one too! Challenging for sure as my schedule is busier. I am helping in the Sew-Powerful booth in March at the AQS Branson Quilt Show, March 22-26! But I am going to dare to join you! Thank you for giving us something positive to focus on during an otherwise difficult time in 2020-2021! And for all the free patterns you share with us! Love you, Pat! @quilterpatsloan✨️

Pat and friends, I am laughing at the March "Block a Day" choice. It is the same as one of the Childhood Memories (#5) blocks. I liked that block so much that I made and finished a whole quilt using the Childhood Memories #5, So, I guess I am done with the March block a day! Tee-Hee-Hee. Mine chains are gold, yellow, and a little light orange but I have a life time supply of 2.5" squares. Perhaps, I should just choose another color and go for it......again!

Hi Pat! I did the Hope & the String bean ones! Loved doing them 😊😊 Since I've been trying to cull out lots of fabrics/scraps, I've been cutting lots of them into different pre-cut sizes so have lots of 2 1/2" squares. I may just use random colors for the little squares & still deciding on a background. Also, will make it longer to be a throw size. I shared this with a friend & she may be doing one, too!
Loved the tunnel pic of Gregg!! What a great trip😊😊

I just got 2 mini charms & a 5" Charm pack of Sunwashed from my local quilt shop. I just love them! If you want to use all the colors, since there's quite a few of cream background ones, what about a very light gray or a taupe? I just looked & my Charm pack only has 3 green blocks, so if I took those out, a light green would be pretty! Just a thought 😊😊
