    This one is great because I can just keep listening while I’m working. I’m very old so I can not learn very fast. I really appreciate your Channel. It’s harder when you’re older your brain just doesn’t take in information like when you’re young.

    • @cebuano101
      @cebuano101  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @tomtin0222 Cebuano is both a language and the term used for people from Cebu. Because many people in the Visayas and Mindanao regions speak Cebuano, 'Bisaya' is often used interchangeably with Cebuano. However, 'Bisaya' actually refers to the Visayan languages and the people from the Visayas and Mindanao.

      Hola, yo he estudiado cebuano por un año, y he aprendido que la mayoría de las palabras españolas son los nombres (inglés: nouns)… especialmente cosas inventadas en los últimos cuatro ciento años or cosas que la gente de España llevaron a las Filipinas durante los 400 años de control. Por ejemplo, ventana = bintana, reloj = relo, vaca = baka, caballo = kabayo. Espero que esto le ayude a ud. Español es mi idioma secundario, pero espero que me entiendas.

    Thank you so much for involving me in watching this video.
    You said the word "Daw" is not directly translatable into English. In my opinion it seems being similar or comparable to the form of the conditional verb in asking kindestly the request:
    for example "could you" write it down? It sounds differently from "do you write it down?"
    I do not know if it is centered, I could be drunk

    • @epochseven4197

    "Kuno" is also a variation. In fact the "daw" is the variation instead of "kuno" because "daw" came from Tagalog not from Cebuano itself.

    • @epochseven4197
      @epochseven4197 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. "Daw" is from Tagalog. I've noticed that some Bisaya speakers use "po" at the end of their sentences, another example of Tagalog interference.
