I have tried to find something that Peter Ruckman said that I could fault using the KJV. or any respected translation. So far, I have not found anything this mam has said that I can criticise using the Bible as evidence he is wrong. If you don't like him, that's your problem.
I'm 65, raised Catholic, went to Catholic school in the mid 1960s, and never gave it much thought until a week ago, when I heard my first Dr Ruckman sermon - I've been binge watching his videos ever since. I got an Old Scofield Bible, and got rid of the Mary statue I had. I agree about the KJV.

God often chose to work through kings and rulers,Cyrus would be an example. It is perfectly reasonable to believe that God moved King James to commission a translation for the English speaking people. The question would be ,who authorized any of these other "versions? From whence did you get this authority? When you change words you change meaning and you also destroy the links which tie the whole of scripture together.
I was 18 years old, saved, and truly desired to learn more of scripture. That was 1985. I had an NIV my mother gave me, and while reading the footnotes, I noticed the constant references made to Vaticanus. I knew at that time that the Vatican was an evil organization. The Lord leaned over my shoulder and said that something was not right. I went away to school and found a church to attend while receiving an education. One night,a deacon handed me a number of study tapes of Matthew by Dr. Ruckman. The rest is wonderful history. I had my faith restored in God's Holy Book, the KJV. I'm a spoiled sheep grazing on the hills of plenty.
Acts 12:4 (KJV) And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. THE PROBLEM IS: 1) Easter is a pagan babylonian word; 2) The greek text actually is: 12:4 ὃν καὶ πιάσας ἔθετο εἰς φυλακήν παραδοὺς τέσσαρσιν τετραδίοις στρατιωτῶν φυλάσσειν αὐτόν βουλόμενος μετὰ τὸ πάσχα ἀναγαγεῖν αὐτὸν τῷ λαῷ --- PASXA = passover. There are many other mis-translations & misrepresentations in the KJV. King James was referred to as "queen james" behind his back. He also practiced beastiality. In addition, he forbade conservative scholars to have any input on the final "authorized" version. As Dr. Phil would ask, "How's that working for you?"
When no one has anything good to say they attack the character of a person. It's sad someone as old as you still hasn't grown up. King James wasn't a homosexual, nor did he practice beastiality. He was one of the greatest monarchs England ever had, uniting Scotland and England and forming the foundations of the British Empire, while simultaneously putting the words of God in the hands of the common folk. He certainly had a lot of enemies because of that, Anthony Weldon being one of them who waited until after the king was dead and unable to defend himself to bring about such accusations which grown men like you flocked to. And as for your word "Easter" that's exactly why the KJV translators translated it that way. What, you thought they didn't know it was a babylonian word? Out of the 29 times they translated Pashca as Passover you think they hadn't discussed and studied the thing out for the one time they translated it as Easter? The word COULDN'T be translated as PASSOVER in that verse because the Passover had already passed. They were referring to the festivities the ROMAN Herod was celebrating, not the Jews. Translating it as passover would have been a mistake. So, what else you got? These are baby attempts at discrediting God's words. A grown man like yourself must have something more than that up your sleeve.
@@LastCall777 Look who is attacking! I am an History major, taught in both Christian and public schools. You CLEARLY have not studied History or know anything about the translation process of the "authorized" version. I come from Pilgrim stock, who used the Geneva Bible. KJVPictures, I love your other channel, but surely you must see that this is not good logic for KJV-only. 1. Because the founders of this country had access to King James Bibles, that translation is responsible for our "greatness". Most of our founders were not Christian, and in fact believed God abandoned this Earth after making it, as was a popular belief at the time. Besides, America and England are pits of depravity like anywhere else, and neither the countries nor their figures should be idolized. 2. Because all our measurements come from England, why not our Bibles? That's just dumb. Since Britain now uses the metric system, why not go with a revised English Bible, then? 3. Because a bunch of famous American figures praised the Bible in general when the KJV was the most popular (not the only) English translation, those praises apply specifically to the KJV. This is just obviously not true. These praises are for the Bible itself, not the KJV specifically. I have to say, this is far from inarguable, and is a bad first impression for Ruckman. Please don't worship the KJV to the point where you throw reason and the power of God to use all translations out the window. Some translations are better than others, but the Word does not depend on a KJV stamp or old-fashioned grammar to be accurate. Gonna go watch your Verses video now to see how that goes. Also, to anyone reading this, take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt, but Ruckman had better be talking about coed integration and not racial integration as an example of bad fruit.
