This video is an absolute credit to you ITB. It is poignant, thoughtful, and as always very professionally produced. It is not an uderstatement to say you have contributed immensely to this hobby and community. You deserve a break. Your family is only young once.
Thank you for your amazing videos and the early group flight over London that I will never forget where I was very nervous in my Piper Arrow. Thank you for your reviews that have steered a lot of my purchase decisions. One of your videos is worth 20 of most other videos because of the care you put in, your flying skills and your confidence. Thank you very much, see you in the new sim!
GREAT video Captain. What wonderful commentary, I could hear the guns blazing and all the pilots doing their part to secure VICTORY. AND that start-up was one of the best; plane shaking, fire out of the exhaust, just the right of smoke on lightoff and a bit of dust on the runway. See you on the other side! !! !!!
I was one of the people you encouraged to look beyond the standard planes with your in depth reviews of add on planes. Thank you for all of your hard work making these videos, it is very much appreciated. Keep up the great work!
Winston Churchills speeches along with the beautiful Spitfire flying gracefully against the English countryside brought a tear to my eye. Well done, Sir!
You weren't alone, what a thoroughly British and stirring end to a video and stunning tribute to, in my mind at least, the single best add-on in MSFS, magnificent. Congratulations on becoming a Dad too. 🙂
For every video you've put out there, thankyou!...looking forward to your msfs24 content in the future. Your kids are only young once so enjoy every moment.
Churchill was a magnificent orator, author and leader. He was born to lead Great Britain in its time of greatest need. I hope we never need a leader of his calibre again. That was a great end to the video. Thanks for all your videos! I have learned a lot about how to fly an aircraft from your videos. They have been greatly appreciated!
Your vids helped me the most when learning to takeoff/land just about any warbird in the sim over the years. Thank you, for your efforts and time that goes into making this magnificent channel.
I can’t begin to describe how much I enjoy your channel. You offer great reviews combined into a format that is both tutorial and cinematic. You sir, are the goat of flight sim content and possibly the best sim pilot around. Thank you!
I've really enjoyed your channel over the last few years and wish you nothing but continued success. When I'm on the fence with purchasing an aircraft add-on or just want to learn more about it, the first thing I do is look to see if you've done a review flight. I find your reviews very thoughtful, honest, and informative. Thank you for sharing your talents and passion for the wonderful world of aviation with us.
A wonderful valedictory to a truly ground-breaking sim. The choice of aircraft was particularly appropriate. My personal thanks for some terrific insights into real-word commercial flying, and please accept my best wishes for your family, and for a wonderful Christmas. See you in MSFS 2024!
Great video Matey, what a video and what a beautiful landing. Makes you wonder sometimes what our grandparents and great grandparents fought for bless them. Look forward to MSFS 2024 and enjoy fatherhood.
Not changing yet and I think most enthusiasts will stay on MSFS 2020 for the time being, remember a lot of aircrafts still needs to be ported over and some companies want to charge for upgrades of said planes for MSFS 2024. So yeah MSFS 2020 will have plenty of simmers in it still

I've spent a lot of time getting 2020 set up to my liking. 2. It will cost more than simply buying 2024. Many will need to spend money to upgrade their computer. Many will have already spent hours building and tweaking 2020 to their liking. 3. Not an early adopter. I'll let others deal with any issues, expected or otherwise, and wait for Microsoft to work them out. Might be a better price by then too. So, for all the focus and wondering about what 2024 will be that content creators and others are doing I'm probably enjoying using //42 campout setting up a camp somewhere in the Rockies or enjoying the beaches in Hawaii. I've got to wrap this up as I've just been cleared for takeoff from KASE."
Absolutely brilliant. Well done as always. I too will be keeping 2020 as I’m sure bumpy roads lie ahead for 2024 but in any case I shall continue to subscribe to your brilliant channel. Best wishes to all as the new sim beckons.
Someone must have been chopping some onions up during the Churchil Speech at the end. Never in a time do I think its more relevant to remind ourselves of our history, and our strengths. 🇬🇧 Thanks ITBS ❤️
I think you need to take a good long hard look at your county, cause, it may very well be Britain, but it's far from "great" ... your country today is literally enemies of the very country who lost over 27 million people, the very people who really stopped the Nazi's in their tracks and pushed them all the way back to their so called "empire" ... and look today, the world has forgiven the "nazi's" and yet the west hound the Russians daily, you're country is a true mess and has been infiltrated by literal millions of nasty people, the very same people Gaddafi once warned you about ... "Great Britain" ... ha, "lame and pathetic" Britain and you haven't even begun to see the worst of what is to come of your "great" Britain. I kind of feel that way about FSX 😂. I have so much invested in making it as immersive and study level as possible with numerous airframes, sceneries, weather engines, and dozens of add-ons that affected everything from flight mechanics to the dust kicked up by prop and rotor wash. When I break my five year fast and get/build an updated system I'll have FSX on it. And IL-2... _AND_ DCS plus the MSFS. Sheesh.

Excellent [as usual]. Thanks for your time and effort. If any one asked me about flight simming I could do no better than to recommend watching this video.

Superb video as always. I was in the first Auster ever to land at Stow Maries, back in 2010. Would the Spitfire have the range to fly from Essex to the Lake District and back again?
It'll probably be closer to Christmas before I make the transition to MSFS 2024, but only time will tell. I'm definitely keeping MSFS 2020 around for if the 2024 version has any major bugs that make it not worth my time. I'm doing a flight around the world in MSFS 2020 with 24 planned legs, most ot those within the US because that's where I live. I can't wait to experience the insane realism of MSFS 2024, and possibly do some aerial firefighting.

Great content as always! And congratulations to you and your growing family! Have a question that maybe someone else can answer. I have the flying Iron Spitfire, but did not know you can change armament and add the desert air filter. Mine has the cannons and standard air filter. Do you find those in the settings tablet?
I think that's the Marketplace version. Flying Iron removed the cannon from that product to comply with the Microsoft licence. I don't think the air filter is any different. Surely the larger filter was standard on two stage Merlins?
I'll be watching eagerly when you move over to '24. I'm planning to move when I know its in a good state and hopefully I can move my addons. I'd rather fly '20 with a Comanche than '24 without.
Hi Roland, Well, I think the general consensus (including my own), is that MSFS 2024 probably still needs another 6-12 months before it's in a "good" state (at least for "serious" simming). That being said, I gather the Comanche actually ports over quite well. It's a shame that Asobo didn't "hit the ground running" (some aspects of the sim have even taken a step backwards) but, they do at least have a solid track record of fixing up dodgy flight sims haha! I do hope you're keeping well sir! All the best : )
Is everyone really just tossing FS2020 out the window? I'm going to keep using mine for a while while everyone else battles with the fire hose of bugs and issues for a year or five.
ill get msfs2024 this tuesday but I expect to not be transferring completely at the same day. For me, the lack of serious ATC and perhaps not immediate transfer of all the airlines addons I bought for MSFS2020 will keep me playing airlines flights on 2020 initially. So I expect to use 24 initially for the career mode, bush flying / general aviation. Then it depends on how fast stuff gets transferred into 24.
Any Spitfire can have its wingtips unbolted and replaced with wooden fairings, becoming a "clipped" wing. It was first tried on the Mk.V with some success at low altitude, the mod being applied in the field. Many LF.Mk.IX (the low altitude version of the Mk.IX) had clipped wings. Almost all Mk.XVIs (a Mk.IX with a Packard Merlin engine) had clipped wings. All Mk.XIIs had clipped wings. By the end of the war, all Mk. XIV fighters had been converted to clipped wings.
I will be sticking with Flight Simulator 2020 as I have a Ryzen 9 3900X and 8gb Sapphire RX 5700XT Nitro+ , and feel this this system most very likely wont cope with the new simulator , And cannot afford to upgrade to a new system

Hoping that the new sim will function well, especially the online aspects. Building a new pc for it and other games. Can’t wait!!
Thank you
It has been a blast. I am hearing lots of rumours about a rough launch of 2024... I will be hanging tight to see if the bugs can be worked out.
Well done ❤!
I'll be watching eagerly when you move over to '24.
I'm planning to move when I know its in a good state and hopefully I can move my addons.
I'd rather fly '20 with a Comanche than '24 without.
Hi Roland,
Well, I think the general consensus (including my own), is that MSFS 2024 probably still needs another 6-12 months before it's in a "good" state (at least for "serious" simming).
2020 😂😂😂😂😂 2024 looks more amazing
You just broke 😂😂😂😂
ill get msfs2024 this tuesday but I expect to not be transferring completely at the same day. For me, the lack of serious ATC and perhaps not immediate transfer of all the airlines addons I bought for MSFS2020 will keep me playing airlines flights on 2020 initially. So I expect to use 24 initially for the career mode, bush flying / general aviation. Then it depends on how fast stuff gets transferred into 24.
just bought the aviator's edition pre-order 5 minutes ago. super excited, hopefully it runs solid but i'm not holding my breath.
Just because 2024 is coming out, it does not mean 2020 will not be available. It does mean that 2024 software will not work on the 2020 system.
Don't assume too much. This video is about the author's intentions, not yours. Maybe he doesn't plan to return to MSFS 2020 after the 19th November?
@@jeanmarcwatson I agree. I did assume too much, and I am coming back to MSFS after 15 years.
2020 not going anywhere yet. Good luck with the launch mess (I love Asobo but...)
Is there any reason to keep FS2020 installed? For example, to transfer any content or to sync accounts or whatever?
on the start i noticed you didnt push the mixture forward.
Hi, how do you edit your videos (software)? TY.
Won’t be saying goodbyes if all my online purchases don’t carry over or if the new one runs like a dog.
What’s your sim graphic settings?
Now here we all are on this video instead of playing msfs 2024 b3cause we're all in a fuckin queue for a single player game 🤣
How did they ever use Spitfires in hot climates if it starts to overheat in seconds on a cool UK airfield ?
Was the Mk IX the last one before the wing clipping? I understand the why but the clipped wings made the Spitfire something "other" to me.
They clipped on the Mk.V already, before the Mk IX. There were clipped wing versions of both and later marks as well
@ Thanks. I was curious about that. So they retrofitted some earlier models too?
Any Spitfire can have its wingtips unbolted and replaced with wooden fairings, becoming a "clipped" wing. It was first tried on the Mk.V with some success at low altitude, the mod being applied in the field. Many LF.Mk.IX (the low altitude version of the Mk.IX) had clipped wings. Almost all Mk.XVIs (a Mk.IX with a Packard Merlin engine) had clipped wings. All Mk.XIIs had clipped wings. By the end of the war, all Mk. XIV fighters had been converted to clipped wings.
@ Thank you. That was very educational.
Final flight 2020, I think not. Everyone will be back in FS2020 by Wednesday after the new sim breaks everyone's internet.
It's been a few years of spending sheds loads of cash and pulling my hair out 😂
Jupiter, the bringer of jovility? Bluey fan per chance?
Why does it have to be a farewell? It's not as if MSFS has contracted and became some kind of disease...😮
for me who will stay in 2020 with this video I feel that my end has come😅😅
Salute to FS 2020
No intention of buying 2024 and sticking with 2020. If I do purchase 2024 I insist on a physical package, shiny box, manual, DVD's etc.
Tbh im gonna wait a bit before going over to msfs2024.
How do I install? Will it install over 2020 and update it to 2024 and is that a good thing to do?
I will be sticking with Flight Simulator 2020 as I have a Ryzen 9 3900X and 8gb Sapphire RX 5700XT Nitro+ , and feel this this system most very likely wont cope with the new simulator , And cannot afford to upgrade to a new system
Bloody hate churchill. but a great speaker he was, fitting end!
My house is just an open field in MSFS
2020 took almost 3 years to be as good as it is now. I bet 2024 will need at least 1 yeah to be semi decent. As for now i stick with 2020
bring on 2024 i say
