Yes, you can. It'll just be a bulkier seam and create a slip stitch ridge on the inside. Since the waffle stitch is already bulky, minimizing the bulk is probably why she chose to make a sewn join.
@@vegangelist this is beautiful. I just started to make it and I wonder if I wrote it down wrong. Both Rows begin with 2-double crochets. R2 ends with DC and fpdc on R 3 if I end with 2- fpdc then I wind up with 4-fpdc together is that right?
I took out the stitches three times and started again. I have no idea what I am doing wrong, but it keeps getting shorter (decreasing). Since you do not show the ends of the rows, I am not sure how they should look. I am disappointed because I love the texture.
I'm with you Claudine, the written pattern help, but I added a dc at the end of row as needed. Just maintain the 30 stitches per row, counting the chain one, as a stitch.
I really enjoy doing your projects.
Lovin the green. Thank you Ms. Jennifer.💚
This is a very pretty cowl Jennifer, I'm really liking the tighter fit around the neck.
Hi Jennifer. This is so pretty and the color is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I have saved it for a future pattern.

She shows the end of the rows, look at the beginning of the video again, good luck!

It’s not you Cloudine, I’m having the same problem and it keeps getting shorter. I’m going to give Beverly suggestion a try to see if it works.
