Korea`s daily wage is about 5.000~6.000 pesos, but it`s amazing that they only live on one-twelfth of the wage in S,Korea...

My question is what’s the percentage of people being paid that?

Firstly, the wage amounts quoted are "minimum wage", obviously an employer can offer above minimum wage rates if they so choose, but many of the large factories located on Clark and other locations nearby generally do pay the MINIMUM wage amount. As the text stated, different areas here have different minimum wages, based on the perceived cost of living in, let's say a large City compared to a rural provincial setting, I think Angeles is kinda in the middle, I'd heard 570 pesos was a typical daily wage amongst factory workers here but I'm not certain. Similarly, I'm not at all certain but that $5 number quoted seems a shade low for even the poorest most rural setting, that said, delivery boys and other such completely unskilled jobs are often paid BELOW the minimum wage. I dare say the most lowly paid are NOT paying into SSS or Philhealth either, nor do their employers, it would be a daily cash in hand kinda deal.

@@brendandoherty2159 I’m curious about the percentage of people getting only that. I know some jobs will pay more. There was a guy awhile back that thought the excavator operator was only getting minimum wage. I don’t think he understood the concept of skilled operators. My experience in Western Leyte from 2019 was laborer was PHP300 a day and the lead was PHP500. I know that’s changed now.
