I stopped listening to Christian music (except in church where we sing traditional hymns) because I hate the style that seemingly every contemporary Christian band has. The lyrics usually feel empty and repetitious, and the genre isn’t my thing. A few weeks ago, I decided to look for folk rock Christian music since that’s one of the musical genres I like the most and after a while of searching, Rivers and Robots popped up. Now I’m finally listening to nice Christian music with beautiful lyrics again and it feels so good. Thank you for making such amazing music :)
My amazing mom is nearing the end of her life. She is just entering hospice after running out of treatment options for her lung cancer. This song is such a beautiful reminder that this is not her home. She will be home when she sees His face. It is my choice to play at her memorial.

It was too much based on emotions and feeling , but often it was all , just emotions and feeling , without deep understanding of his word . And i found in these songs beauty because they consist of real texts from the biblie .

for some reason my mind has been briefly drifting towards a particular friend that I lost because of making the right choice to follow God. we were very close and our friendship was like none other which really left a strong impression on me because we both had such a deep understanding for each other and we shared a strong mental connection. therefore, losing something so rare was so unexpected. I dont know who God is going to bring into my life next, but I know its going to be special people. trusting in Him has held me together and it has kept me faithful even though I did not understand His will. now this song in particular makes me feel as if I've always belonged here and I've found my place in His home. and I will wait for Him to do even greater things in my life.
