Melee its not SUPPOSED to be anything besides a party game. The smash community gets to decide if coaching between matches is allowed or not. If it is allowed then players have no reason to handicap themselves and not do it. SFAT got kinda coached by Duck, so it does not have to be official like Hbox and Capitan Crunch. And if it's banned, well then its banned and players can't do it anymore. But right now its allowed and it is not ok to shout insults to players and coaches in between matches for taking advantage of it.
I agree with HeyI'mAndy. If one wants a solely 1v1 game, then people in the crowd should not shout out anything either. The crowd can affect the players as much as a coach can. I wrestle at a college level and also compete in jiu-jitsu, so I'm familiar to 1v1 competition. Coaching is like a specified, personalized crowd that you wish to acknowledge. What Andrew V. did is similar to negative coaching.

I hate people slept on M2k's victory because "He didnt fight a God he only faced SFAT". Hello? He beat both Hbox and Mango. You can't sleep on SFAT anymore. Even if people don't want to respect SFAT's skill, then Hbox and Mango shouldn't have lost in the first place.

Hbox wasn't playing bad this tournament, certainly better than SSC... But SFAT came super prepared. This is the best Fox play I've seen against Hbox, except for Leffen.
Quang Le Not if you're a sly piece of shit who opts to sit slightly behind your opponent like Hbox. That way only one person can realistically do it in a match. Plus he would not be so subtle about it if he didnt think it was wrong
If it's really such a problem then bring a fucking blanket to put over your hands or something. It's not like you can effectively STOP someone from looking without rearranging the players. If someone gets that information by looking, would they be required to not utilize it? Makes no sense.
