Mist at 9 is absurd. While I believe Mist has the ability to be top 25, the justification is simply wrong to place Mist in a tier with Yanxnz, Beastmode, and Aztral. We’ve seen Mist go head to head with all 3 of these players, and it isn’t close to see who’s better. “But Mist has worse teammates!” Agreed. However, in any of those series, Mist does not look like the best player on the pitch, ever. I’d rank Noly, Comm, and even sometimes Caard better than Mist.

Tbates had some wild takes, and tho I am a G2 and NA fan, He was clearly biased. But Johnny missed coming after him almost more than half the time, especially with the teammate arguments. Even if its 3 players, RL is a team game. You can carry tf out of ur team and still not be rewarded with results.
I love these so much, please don’t ever stop. If I were to make one comment, it would be that I miss every person revealing their picks one by one (atleast for parts of the video). I normally really enjoy Johnny's takes, but I actually agree with TBates this time. I feel like Johnny and others really made this list purely based on team results, which isn't the brief. That just wasn't the question.
I was in agreement until the LJ take from Tbates. He argued against them rating Nwpo for being speculative but then talked as though LJ being a future prospect was good enough for being top 20. Also he said he hates hypotheticals when he was posted with whether Oxygen would beat Falcons but the whole rest of the video is him posing hypotheticals.

A few issues I have noticed. - The program quickly descends into debate over placement/reasoning/logic which is great! IF it leads to good discussion. - Sadly nobody seems to be able to carry the mic long enough to articulate an opinion EXCEPT FOR Johnny - Whose logic is not always sound, yet nobody on the desk seems willing to challenge his notions Tbates - Who is often the ONLY one willing to grab the mic and defend/attack for his opinions, though seems incapable of sparring with johnny. Honestly Tbates methodology makes sense... they're just making him look a little too ridiculous. Some picks higher than I would've had them but he's right about the recency bias and not judging individual players by the results of the entire team. Also crazy to me that for a team to be considered one of the top, you have to have like all of them in the top 10? I don't think that's true. Yan, caard, and beastmode are all a bit lower than I would've liked on bates list. Same thing with players who are insane but didn't make LAN, they're definitely good enough but don't have the team around them. I love these lists. Great content. CJ had the best list imo, but this was probably the first time imo that Johnny's list was easily the worst one (Well, after Bates after finishing the vid). Most justifications were team results and the list was presented as "top 25 players in the world". The LeBron James comparison in the comments was 100% on point. LeBron has been a top 3 player in the NBA long before his teams won anything. jstn., mist, Reysbull, etc can be insane players individually and deserve to be on the list in spite of the fact they they are hampered by the rest of the members of their teams comparitively.

nah, not really, it's just that you can only prove that you're individually as good if you get to the top tier matches, which imply you get at the very least decent results with your team. Adding Lj, alpha54 or mist in this when they have not even played in 1 top tier match is just wrong. If you're just going to value them in terms of what you see in a random match with no importance, you might just say that nwpo, rw9, joreuz, aqua, evoh, zen might just be in the top10
Weird take why are people ranking people based on team performance sometimes, but on personal performance other times. I don't think you can say well Nwpo is insane cause he helped a team almost beat falcons, and in the next 10 minutes say what has the team won, what has the team achieved, or what team have they beat. I am always confused about this. A player can be MVP even if they don't make finals. I don't get it. Rank them off skill not achievements.

Yumi had the best list. Johnny literally only ranks players by how well their team did in the most recent tournament. Tbates had some really bad takes but at least he was basing his off individual skill. I don't know how CJ won the vote with Monkey Moon at #5., feel like he has to be #3 minimum in the wolrd right now. And Roll Dizz had over half his list NA and obviously let his coaching bias go through with the FaZe members.

My opinion on the lists: JohnnyBoi - Seikoo should be above Beastmode, Vatira should be above Firstkiller and arguably above Beastmode too. I'd probably swap Ayyjayy and Daniel. Tbates - Extra at 21 is absurd, as is LJ being anywhere on the list and likewise for mist at 9. Atomic and Firstkiller shouldn't be above Beastmode. Yan at 8 is possibly the worst take of all. CJ - Swap Aztral with Daniel and M0nkey with Beastmode and this is probably the best list. Roll Dizz - Swap M0nkey and First around with Bmode staying in between, Arsenal should 100% not be on that list and Extra at 24 is criminal. Yumi - Actually not bad. The top 4 are fairly interchangeable. I'd probably move Joyo somewhere in between that block of red. Best to worst lists: CJ, Yumi, Johnny, Dizz, Tbates

To use NBA comparisons, Yanxnz bringing this Furia roster to top 6 at Majors and top 4 at Worlds (and winning G8) is like Lebron carrying Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao to the Conference finals and Finals year after year after year. Even Tbates agrees that Yanxnz allows his teammates to flourish early on; when the pressure is on though, Yanxnz steps up, scoring back-to-back hat tricks in games 6 and 7 against Moist (that’s like Lebron’s 32 and 45 pt games against the Celtics in 08, though he lost game 7).

There isn't any one best player ( in twos or threes). You're only as good as your team mates make you look. Sometimes the better players are those who position themselves that allow their TM to go for crazy aerials or to stay grounded and recognise danger etc.

Alright I really respect and even agree with most of Johnny's opinions but he clearly does not know what he's talking about when it comes to LJ. I've been watching him play since he was on BOSF with Kraziks and Toastie and he is absolutely insane. He would be the star player on almost any roster he's assigned to and there's a reason he's one of the most sought after players in NA behind maybe mist and AYYJAYY depending on what kind of player the team looking for a free agent would want. I've been an LJ fanboy for a bit so this might just be copium and a delusion but I fully believe he will be one of the most talked about players in NA next season as long as he gets a decent roster.

And unless another team with 3 top 10 players are in ur region there is no possible way to lose.

T bates list may be crazy, but to be fair if the the difference between players as they get higher on the list gets smaller and smaller, having an avg in top 10 is not the same as as 3 players in top ten since the scale is not actually linear.
If you are ranking the best 3v3 players, you have to take into account their team results. Otherwise, the only way to settle the debate is to just put them in a 1v1 lobby. But that doesn’t translate to 3v3 exactly. So, for the team game, you have to talk about their team results.
But you shouldn't make 90% of your justification be the team results like Johnny is. 2 players can make an average third look good, and 2 bad players can make a great player look mid.

This is the kind of content that as a huge rlcs fan I completely love and look forward to. But honestly, this format is getting borderline unwatchable for me.
A few issues I have noticed.
- The program quickly descends into debate over placement/reasoning/logic which is great! IF it leads to good discussion.
- Sadly nobody seems to be able to carry the mic long enough to articulate an opinion EXCEPT FOR
Johnny - Whose logic is not always sound, yet nobody on the desk seems willing to challenge his notions
Tbates - Who is often the ONLY one willing to grab the mic and defend/attack for his opinions, though seems incapable of sparring with johnny. (Not that its any deficiency of his own, johnny is often quite idiosyncratic in his analysis - defending a point using one line of reasoning only to attack another’s use of it 5 minutes later)
THESE ARE NOT FLAWS WITH EITHER OF THESE TWO - it is what makes them excellent at providing the platform FOR THE OTHERS
- This is where the other panelists need to show up and prove their worth as analysts. It is their job to be the balance between johnny and Tbates
- I have lost count of the number of soft positions johnny has taken that I KNOW the rest do not agree with, only to watch them shake their heads and gaze vaguely into the middle distance.
- The times they DO seem to have something to say, they are barely able to string 5-10 sentences together before Tbates (or johnny) speaks over them then proceed to argue between the two of them and the moment is lost.
SO FRUSTRATING - you guys have everything you need to make this top tier entertainment.
I am someone who truly appreciates the speculation, discourse, and debate that goes along with a format like and for me you just aren’t pulling it off.
No changes are needed to cast members or overall format. Just a bit of preparation. PREPARATION!

Honestly Tbates methodology makes sense... they're just making him look a little too ridiculous. Some picks higher than I would've had them but he's right about the recency bias and not judging individual players by the results of the entire team. Also crazy to me that for a team to be considered one of the top, you have to have like all of them in the top 10? I don't think that's true. Yan, caard, and beastmode are all a bit lower than I would've liked on bates list. Same thing with players who are insane but didn't make LAN, they're definitely good enough but don't have the team around them. This list is about players, not teams!!

I love these lists. Great content. CJ had the best list imo, but this was probably the first time imo that Johnny's list was easily the worst one (Well, after Bates after finishing the vid). Most justifications were team results and the list was presented as "top 25 players in the world". The LeBron James comparison in the comments was 100% on point. LeBron has been a top 3 player in the NBA long before his teams won anything. jstn., mist, Reysbull, etc can be insane players individually and deserve to be on the list in spite of the fact they they are hampered by the rest of the members of their teams comparitively.

For the tied ratings, I based it on whoever had a higher placement to finish higher. My biggest problem with the overall list is Noly not making the top 26. I also believe MonkeyM00n does so much for the best team in the world, so I would have him top 3.

Yumi had the best list. Johnny literally only ranks players by how well their team did in the most recent tournament. Tbates had some really bad takes but at least he was basing his off individual skill. And Roll Dizz had over half his list NA and obviously let his coaching bias go through with the FaZe members.

JohnnyBoi - Seikoo should be above Beastmode, Vatira should be above Firstkiller and arguably above Beastmode too. I'd probably swap Ayyjayy and Daniel.
Tbates - Extra at 21 is absurd, as is LJ being anywhere on the list and likewise for mist at 9. Atomic and Firstkiller shouldn't be above Beastmode. Yan at 8 is possibly the worst take of all.
CJ - Swap Aztral with Daniel and M0nkey with Beastmode and this is probably the best list.
Roll Dizz - Swap M0nkey and First around with Bmode staying in between, Arsenal should 100% not be on that list and Extra at 24 is criminal.

I've been watching him play since he was on BOSF with Kraziks and Toastie and he is absolutely insane. If you are ranking the best 3v3 players, you have to take into account their team results. Otherwise, the only way to settle the debate is to just put them in a 1v1 lobby. But that doesn’t translate to 3v3 exactly. So, for the team game, you have to talk about their team results.
But you shouldn't make 90% of your justification be the team results like Johnny is. 2 players can make an average third look good, and 2 bad players can make a great player look mid.
