If you are an avid gardener and plant lover, a pilgrimage to this iconic garden will challenge, inspire and enlighten you all at the same time. You will leave a changed person-for the better. Check this video out and then if you can, visit this amazing garden that is actually five gardens in one!
Thank you for your insights. ✌️
100 horto points to you my friend.Great video of Portland ,would love to visit some time.Well done
Great job capturing and explaining the beauty of the different gardens. Your knowledge of trees, shrubs and overall plants is what I myself strive to learn. I especially am happy to hear that you are a man of faith. I recently became a member of the Portland Japanese garden and can’t wait to visit again.
Are you a professional aesthetic pruner or an aspiring one?
I actually billed ecosystem Ponds and love the art of Japanese Gardens. What makes a pond look amazing its actually the planting and design around the pond. The videos you put out on TH-cam are very informative and actually got me inspired to learn how not only prune and style different types of conifers not only for the looks, but the health of the trees.
An outstanding tour of a beautiful garden. As always, I learned a lot. Thank you for taking the time to produce this video.
Thank you. This was a fun video to make. This is a very special place and I always come away uplifted and inspired. Words cannot describe. I have learned so much after each of many visits there.. If you ever come to Portland, I'll take you there. If I were 40 years younger, I might consider moving to Japan for a season to study under a true master.
I'm so glad I found your channel. As a collector of Japanese Maples, your information on pruning the JMs has been very beneficial to me. Please consider doing more videos on Japanese Maples on a variety of topics. What camera did you use to film this video? Keep up the inspirational work!
Thank you. I used my iPhone.
Love your tours and think Purslane is that ground weed
Dude!!! I bought a house that has tons of amazing trees and shrubs, but seems to have been maintained by heavy handed landscapers as the owners were elderly. I’ve been trying to determine how to save these treasures from their toadstool topiary forms and you have given my novice eyes a wealth of new data. Thanks!!!! Just a few minutes in and I’m already buzzing with ideas :)
Ears too! Thanks for the detailed commentary and a new set of vocabulary as I set off on this journey. If you’re ever in central GA, I’ll show you my progress!
Absolutely love this tour . Went to japan for a two week garden tour with husband job travel ‘ went from Komomoto Suizenji Jouen garden all the way through Tokyo. Please utube garden as saw many large and intimate moss gardens
very nice commentary - thank you.
When you said burning bush, which species were you referring to?
Enkianthus is what you were looking few times not being sure what was it
