I am an ELCA Lutheran living in SC. I play the piano and organ. Today (February 17), I filled in at a local Presbyterian Church. I played this as the Hymn of Praise.
I have to admit, though it is nice, this has never been one of my favorite hymns, but the way it's done here certainly turns it into one of my favorites! Simply glorious.
Have been singing this since a child, in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and the Presbyterian Church USA. Magnificent hymn, played and sung so well here!
