Powerwolf is one of the more interesting metal bands out there... for one, the lead singer is operatically trained, you can definitely picture him on an opera stage. Another being they focus entirely on eastern european legends such as werewolves and vampires. My favorite song by far is "Sanctified with Dynamite", oh how I wish there was a story video of it...
My take on the lyrics is a holy woman who forsakes her religion and church to go out partying and having sex. So socializing with other sinners is "dancing with the dead". Just my take lol great reaction!
A lot of melodic symphonic power metal here. Very upbeat. Good musicians. Could be in a rock musical. Like them but maybe a bit of too much Eurovision style on their composition in my opinion if you remove the harder drums.

So cool when trained opera singers, cross over and let it fly like that. One of the reasons I feel for Amy Lee, and Nightwish.
