To celebrate Chinese new year in Bangkok we went to the famous Chinatown in Yaowarat. We arrived late afternoon and the atmosphere and vibe was really good it was busy everyone was in the traditional outfits and there was so much food to choose from and promotions and mini events going on, then in the evening people lined the streets ready for the parade which ended up never happening and there seemed to be a lot of confusion as many tourists where asking when the parade or ceremony starts and there ended up not being one which was quite dissapointing

Hello Tom & Lay 💙❤️🩵⭐️☘️🇺🇸 Thank you 🩵
I once opened up a fortune cookie and the message said " Sorry you are not chinese so No Wish for You 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Tom: Lay couldn't wait and leave me some.
Lay: The food is getting cold and I'm starving babe.😂
Lay is definitely good taste and red color is ideal for Chinese New Year. Happy Lunar New Year to Lay and Tom.
Happy Chinese New Year! An amazing celebration, but a bit too crowded for me. Enjoy and be safe!
I love Chinese bakery and they have this great strawberry shortcake that is so delicious 😋
19:04 FACTS! 💯
It's a shame that there was no parade but at least you got some great food whilst waiting.
Tom's local knowledge of the back doubles really helped.
I too eat the fish eyes so delicious that sea bass looks very delicious. Will definitely order that once I get to Makati in March .
As always, you find the best local food. Looked so damn good. I am not a fan of big crowds and alot of countries have crazy celebrations. Thanks for showing authentic take on events, not the TH-cam airbrushing that most vloggers do.
Hi Tom and Lay. I arrived in Bangkok this morning from Udon Thani. The train from the airport was full. Never seen so many people on it. I guess the pollution has a good side after all. People use free trains. Cheers from a Kiwi in Thailand
Shirt looks great Tom and Lay looking as beautiful as always! ❤️👍
Presentations everything 🩵
Wow, both of u r wearing red!! 👍. Is prosperity colour! Good things will b definitely be on yr way! 🙏🙏😍
The china town in California is always busy and they have great restaurants...I love to eat Duck..
That Thai Princess, she’s younger sister of the King.
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍 2:32 that's a big fortune cookie 🥠😂
I know how you felt as I was in the Chinatown in Manila yesterday and was totally exhausted, so very busy! It did feel like the full population of the Philippines had turned up! A fantastic experience but not one in hurry to experience for a while! You both did well to keep on filming, it did make good content 👍
Tom , you are absolutely right, fish eye is the best part of a fish 🤤 , and that includes fish head .

I would enjoy the daytime adventure but the night, I'd be heading right out of there lol
Tom and Lay you are wearing nice red clothes. We like that.
And Chicken delux food
🐔
I would have thought people would have learned by now to avoid such events. The only guarantee is terrible crowds and people milling around chaotically.
That was the most anticlimactic parade ever. It looked more like a funeral procession, maybe they had a casket on board.
If you had gone to China. Surely, the Lunar Chinese New Year would have been highly celebrated there. A parade of dragons and snakes seen celebrating with drums.
23:05 haha, Filipinos always like to drink their sodapops
There is normally dragons snd lion dancers and drummers and fire crakers to drive away evil spirits folled by fireworks at midnight. I think maybe something went wrong or you left to early.
Its the year of the SNAKE
Fish for me has to be headless and boneless.🤩
Did you guys get to experience the free transportation 😊 just going to watch the video so maybe you already mentioned it 🙈 have fun 😊
Yep 😅😂
Nice
I have a people limit. I could never handle walking with that many people around. Back in the day I use to hit the clubs go dancing and I have won many dance contest. But as I got younger it just seems more people is not better. I am not in to the large gatherings. I hate shopping when there is a lot of people. Even at my own house I make sure no more then 6 people show up as to before I use to party with a couple hundred would show up. This is one reason I like watching the videos. I am alone and don't have to deal with it. But even then I am saying to myself Oh Hell no I could never do that.
I wish I could get younger.🤣
Same here, the older I get the more I get annoyed by people in general.
@@susanwaite1187 I am only 18 Honest just ask me
@@vloginvain Odd I can honestly say I would never have thought this would happen to me. I don't like going to the beach or to the fireworks show anything that draws people to it I stay far away from it. Back in the day people respected others. Today people are mostly rude and care less and feel they can do say anything they want . I can honestly say if someone offered me 1000 dollars to go to the Fair I would tell them NO!. When I go shopping and go pay bills or have to hit the bank. I do it knowing there is not going to be many people around. If I am shopping and I see a lot of people in a section I avoid that section and hit it another time.
