You're spot on with the Bucs vs Rams. And it's not just the 2020s era. It dates back to the 1979 and 1999 NFC Championship games. The Rams have sent the Bucs home so many times and they've all been big games. So I agree 100% the Bucs do NOT want to see the Rams. In fact, the Rams and maybe Vikings are the 2 teams I would not want to see in the playoffs. No one else scares me. I want the Eagles in the Championship game. On the AFC side for a realistic (albeit longshot) Super Bowl opponent, give the Bucs the Chiefs, Chargers, or Steelers. I think the Bucs match up well with all 3. Chiefs would be the hardest but I'd want the Bucs to face the very best again. And to steal the 3-peat would be so beautiful. It's funny, as I'm typing this I'm thinking, man I'm gonna sound like such a homer talking about Bucs in the Super Bowl but if you look around media... everyone is talking about how the Bucs are a bad match up for their team and they're afraid. I mean, they haven't even clinched yet. But I mean, if they've really finally clicked and that mid season slump was just a slump, then I guess I see no reason why they can't get there. Crazier things have happened.
I was on board with your AFC. I'm a Bills fan and I agree that the Ravens scare me. I believe the game would be very different a second time around but I still would have preferred them as the 5 and the Steelers as the 3. That path seemed the easiest. If the Bills make the Superbowl going through Lamar and Mahomes, and potentially even Burrow, then that would be the most well earned Superbowl appearance in recent memory.
I think the scariest thing about the Commanders in the playoffs for other teams is their main character plot armor lol. Of the teams in it in the NFC, they are not really the best at anything, but they just inexplicably find ways to win games if you give em a chance. This has been a year of doing stuff “for the first time in decades” for them, and I can see them getting their first playoff win in 20 years purely off vibes. Im personally not too worried about Tampa Bay. Week 1 is hardly an indicator of much for an entire season. Not writing off the Buccs, I think they are a lot better than their record, but we are a far different team than we were in Week 1. Commanders didnt really start meshing until Week 3, and of course Jayden Daniels now has an entire seasons worth of more experience than he did back in his NFL debut against Tampa. I would feel pretty confident playing the Buccs. I would feel the least confident against the Lions, I legit think in Detroit they would drop 50+ on us lol
I feel you. While I'd prefer the Commanders in the wild card round over other options, I get your point. But if we're looking at it from a narrative/vibe standpoint... Daniels getting the pro bowl over Baker just feels like bad news for Washington. Baker plays REALLY well when he's got a chip on his shoulder. He may say it doesn't bother him but you know damn well he's gonna fight. To be honest, I'm super excited about this being the possible match up. Problem is.. Bucs aren't even IN the playoffs yet... Saints scare me more than the Commanders right now haha.
I want the Bills to have to play the Ravens because the Ravens tend to dominate the Bills. Then the Ravens have to face the chiefs who tend to dominate the Ravens. But if the Chiefs do face the Bills, I have full faith that the Chiefs will win. The offense is better than it was last year and they've gotten a lot of their injured players back. So there's Hollywood Brown, D-Hop, Kelce and Worthy who is starting to heat up. Then there's Hunt and Pacheco. And of course Mahomes who plays incredible even with a sprained ankle. As for the defense. The chiefs have one of the, if not, the best defense in the league. Chris Jones, Karlaftis, Thuney, Humphrey, McDuffy is one of the best CBs in the league and Watson is coming back. Reid has also been warming up. And of course the best defensive coordinator ever and the best head coach ever. The chiefs have been injuried all season and are just now getting healthier. They will also start pulling out all the stops. We'll the the game plans they've been saving until the playoffs. They'll be ready.
since when have the ravens "tended to dominate the bills" lol they did in one game this year, they lost two straight including a PLAYOFF game to buffalo before this past one. like what?
Bills fan- you ain’t wrong. Balt is the Bills’ scariest matchup. Yeah there’s history with KC in the playoffs, but Buffalo has beat them more often than not over the past couple of years. Balt has always been an ugly matchup. Maybe Balt gets upset? 😂
One reason I am against the Bills being the chiefs worst matchup is because of the playoffs. Josh Allen is 4-1 vs Mahomes in regular season but 0-3 vs Mahomes in playoffs. I am not confident that bills are chiefs worst matchup until I see the bills beat chiefs in playoffs.
@@nathanbarnes9373it would be much easier to say the chiefs worst matchup is themselves because they can only beat themselves since no other team has shown they can beat the chiefs consistently in the playoffs yet.
Simple, chargers defense isn't as good as the stats say. Look how they've done a against every good/elite QB. It would be a tough for them to win against anyone they would play besides maybe the Texans, Ravens(playoff Lamar) Broncos ( Still don't believe Nix is very good) Bengals( defense is bottom 3) or Dolphins (It's the Dolphins lol) depending on who got that 7th spot.
Hmm idk about that steelers one. I think they match up worse to the bills. Josh allen since entering the league has beaten the steelers 4of the 5 times. Every time was in a wild card round. They only moved on once.
Alexa, play "Nightmare" by Avenged Sevenfold (for Mitch!) Bucs biggest nightmare is Broncos. Can't forget what they did to us week 4... still haunts me...
I'm weird because I'm a football fan *and* an anime fan. I don't want the path of least resistance; I want to beat the best teams at their best so there is no doubt that my team is the better team. If they can't do it than another team was better than they were.
I agree but I want an easy Wild Card and have face the best team in the championship game and Super Bowl. No one remembers the Wild Card match-ups and you never wanna face your worst match up in it I think.
@@TheBottomLineView@TheBottomLineView Spags made Lamar throw last year, and it was a good plan. Lamar is throwing better this year, obviously, so it could be interesting.
How many times has the Chiefs beat the Ravens? Every time the Ravens play the chiefs the Chiefs shut down their run game. The only thing the Ravens rely on it seems because when they face good physical defenses that can stop the run, the Ravens struggle. Their losses have all come against the top 17 defenses in the league. Henry couldnt do anything against the chiefs either. They forced Jackson to throw. And it's been very successful. But I'm sure it won't happen again right?
@ bro the chiefs we’re Injured vs the bills that game the chiefs are healthy right now especially with Hollywood brown back i think will beat the bills in the playoffs but it will be a close game
Bills don’t wants to play the Ravens, because they got a lot more firepower than the Chiefs their too much to handle and like last time Ravens will either blowout the bills or win in a shootout plus their got a great GM and a great Coach and great players as well their are built to win now and could’ve won last year and played in the Super Bowl this is Lamar’s year plus King Henry wants a ring badly and entire team too. THE Chiefs aren’t as explosive as years past putting up a lot of yards and points on every team, but their still the team to beat they have more experience in shootouts and close games in the playoffs the Steelers or Texans don’t want to play the Chiefs again because this their offense will be humming on all cylinders to put more points on those two teams plus their stars will show up big Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Mcduffie,Deandre, Hollywood and Bolton and others another thing Andy Reid and Spangnolo is a dangerous combination as well see how the playoffs play out though for every team 🔥🔥🔥💯
The Bills played a bad game back in September, it happens, especially with a team that has new pieces that is trying to figure out what works. If they play again in Buffalo, there's a good chance the Bills win this one convincingly. No team or fanbase want a Super Bowl win more than the Buffalo Bills! Bills at Chiefs can go either way, these games are usually close!
@ I completely agree with u on that but don’t be shocked if this game is a shootout or a low scoring defensive game it will probably be the most entertaining and exciting game in the playoffs though 🔥🔥🔥💯
Let me know your opinion!
The Chiefs Nightmare scenario is if the Bengals magically get into the postseason
For Philly, it’s gotta be TB. We do not wanna play Baker again 😂😂
