WHY DISNEY STAR WARS SUCKS | MM PODCAST

On episode 3 of the Media Madmen Podcast, Sam and Connor dissect the horror movie slasher equivalent of tired Hollywood franchies...STAR WARS! If ya didn't catch the horror movie slasher reference, let writer/editor Sam explain!
Ya see in the rise of slasher movies in the late 70's/early 80's, you typically had a slasher, 'boogie man' who was blood thirsty for h*rny teens. Ya know like Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, etc. And at the end of each movie our (in most cases) 'final girl,' would defeat the boogie man of their designated cheap horror slasher movie. BUT ALAS! An inevitable sequel is just around the corner next year! And Freddy, Jason and Michael are going to keep doing the same thing they're famous for...KILLING H*ORNY TEENS!
So to bring it all back around full circle, we have now established that 80's slasher movie monsters had tons of sequels and just kept doing the same old thing. Kinda like Star Wars after Mickey Mouse acquired it from OUR precious George. Who, though is responsible for a boring a$$ Darth Vader backstory, provided us cinephiles with perhaps the most entertaining thing in the history of Star Wars...THE MAKING OF THE PREQUELS! Though this is a podcast, and clips are not typically played in one, we couldn't help but give you a tease of the BTS of the prequel Star Wars era. We highly recommend checking them out because unlike the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse era of Star Wars, they have some realness to them. To quote George Lucas himself, "I may have gone too far in a few places."
Anyways, Sam hadn't wrote a long, self-indulgent, and ultimately pointless description that no one will read in a while so what the hay, aye? Anyways, we really enjoyed talking about Star Wars for the first time on the channel.
