Nice video, i'm looking into the GLC but seen a lot of reports of piston failure on the pre 2019 (69) model where it uses the M274 engine. Have you come across these reports? not sure if it mainly an American production issue or if this issue is prevalent in the UK?
@@ParagonCarsLondon Thanks for your speedy reply, I'm struggling to get pass 35mpg on the motorway doing 66mph in a 220d 2017 plate, I bought it thinking I would get around 44mpg on motorway driving.
@@mikemarsh436 how long is your journey on the motorway? These cars take a while to warm up so you need a good 30 mile stretch to get the best out of them.
@@ParagonCarsLondon I usually do 2 hours city driving in the morning then do an average of 70 miles motorway in the afternoon, carrying weight in boot is around 40 kgs. Running on 18" alloys.
I’ve had two GLC’s, excellent all round suv, no mechanical issues, very smooth ride, plenty of space, and no breakdowns, I will have another
Had the AMG version from new since 2017.
Terrific car,no problems at all.
Nice I’m looking at this for my next car
My wife bought one a couple of months ago , I have a CLS (which I Love ) but keep finding excesses' to take hers !!

We haven’t come across any to be honest, however, there definitely seems to be some issues with the M274. How widespread it is though? Hard to tell.
Probably is the 1.6 liters they share the same code
Actually, that was until 2017, then they made an update and they do Not have that problem anymore.
Does it have apple car play/android auto?
Is the 250d a much better choice engine wise?
Brilliant video cheers
Thank you
A good review on a good car
Have you reviewed a GLE 63S COUPE yet if not I'd like to see it !
Not yet, but we'd love to review one!
Could you do a video with the bmw x6 40d or m50d would be great. Thanks.
Will add to the list of cars to do👌🏼
I think the 220. Diesel engine’s bit loud or is it normal ?
it tends to be when started but quietens down after a few minutes upon warm up
what's the intro song?
fights by AGST on epidemic sound.
What suspension is in this GLC?
Hi there, being an AMG Line car this has the sports suspension. It's still very comfortable though.
What we're your mpg figures
50mpg. Figure was still going up though so you can expect about 54 on a long journey.
