Everyone's idea of cooking is different. I'm an old school black American. I was blessed to have learned to cook from 3 generations of old school black women - my great grand mother, my grandmother, and my mother. They took their time in the kitchen with everything made from scratch, well seasoned, delicious, and with loving care. That's how I cook for my husband. And we've been together 24 years, and he still has a smile on his face. No McDonald's or fast food here, my dear.

The fast food comment from Maya’s sister got me laughing. Our grandmothers used the calabash for everything in the old days. Dr Oz did a show about the red palm oil some few years ago and I will encourage everyone to google up that show and view it. Palm oil is the key to disposal of plaque build up in our veins.

Miss Trudy this food is purely a Fante food it’s called Etew and Nfante nfante I love it. Thank you for bringing back memories. Where I live I can’t get dough for Banku or Etew as the fantes call them so I eat with Gari and it’s yummy
Banku is For the Ga people of Accra.. etew is for fante people. Banku is quite different from etew.

For the Sista from America, I’m not sure where you’re eating but as an American my food is flavorful and delicious. Hi I was talking about the quality of the food. American produce has a lot of GMO‘s even the organic food can have issues. And that effects the flavor.
@@LacoleFitness you are so correct. When I returned from Ghana it was so hard to decide what I would eat. Nothing tastes better than TRUE ORGANIC meat, veggies, nothing. I eventually had to eat something and am so careful what I choose but l you know they can put an organic label on anything. I was so excited to finally find a seeded watermelon last week, I saved the seeds. I don’t eat seedless anything.
