- Hip dysplasia, sometimes referred to as acetabular dysplasia, occurs when one or more areas of the hip joint have not developed properly. Teenagers and young adults with hip dysplasia may complain of hip pain. They may experience pain with walking, running and contact sports.
Boston Children’s Hospital Child and Young Adult Hip Preservation Program manages patients of all ages and has treated patients with hip dysplasia up to 50 years old. Our hip team has cared for thousands of teens and young adults with hip dysplasia and has developed surgical expertise that benefits patients of all ages.
Our satisfied patients and families aren’t the only ones who appreciate the excellent care we offer. U.S. News & World Report recognized the great work we do for and with your family, and named Boston Children’s the #1 children’s hospital in orthopedics.
