    Looking to learn the steps to resurface a Breyer resin ornament. I hope I am on the right path. This model has deep marks all over it and the color is not realistic. I want to smooth out the surface and repaint it. Your tutorials are easy to understand and I'm enjoying them a lot.

    Girl... you may have just saved my life.......... and my money. My goal is to sculpt original horses/pegasi, harden them, (oven or air or however) paint them and keep them til the sun goes out. I figured the best way for me to do that is with clay. As much as I love the breyer model world and would love to really start collecting and customizing horses, I can not work with the plastic. Call me crazy, but... I am literally afraid of power tools. I almost think I'll just end up with a few missing fingers and a drill in my head. Not to mention the state of whatever poor horse I dismember :/ So I hope clay is the way.

      The two part epoxy is the best for customizing! Best of luck, glad I could help.

    Does apoxy sculpt come only in these colors? I am looking for a light shade as I want to try it in jewelry. Btw do you have any suggestion specifically for jewelry😊 thanks for the great video🎉

    • @DeeJayBeStudios
      @DeeJayBeStudios  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It comes in a few colours, but they all work a little differently. Jewelry makers usually use polymer. Comes in a variety of colours and you can mix them to make new ones.

    you think there's a difference between Super Sculpey Original Beige in the Box W/ seahorse Image on a box, and the Super Sculpey also Beige but plastic-wrapped w/ the Dinosaur image on the package? i could not find the super Sculpey original Beige in the box on Sculpey Official Site only the newer version of the wrapped packaged one. Also, i'd imagine one would have to be a skilled sculptor to use Apoxy Sculpt, or the clay version one has few hours to complete whatever figure one makes, so that leaves me out to use the Apoxy sculpt LoL I take hours to sculpt also I just started polymer clay, you make Grate pieces DeeJay ty for the video

    Is Apoxie Sculpt softer to mix than Magic Sculpt? I’ve been using Magic Sculpt for years, but it’s hard consistency is murder on my hands when mixing A to B.

    • @DeeJayBeStudios
      @DeeJayBeStudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I find Magic Sculpt much softer. When it’s warm. I use spoons to retrieve it from the containers. Apoxie is quite a bit firmer. I find it harder on my hands.

    I've never been a huge fan of any of the "baking" clays (polymer or otherwise), though I've used bioth Fimo and Super Sclupey.
    Now, the twwo part stuff...HECK YEAH! I've used Magic Sculpt , Apoxie Sculpt, Green stuff, Brown Stuff, Milliput...there's other's that I still need to try. The neat thing about the two part epoxy style materials is you can mix them together to get different properties.
    For example, mixing green stuff and milliput will get you a neat hybrid ogf the two for sharper edges etc..

    hello and thanks for you insight!❤
    would you mind to tell me if there is a stiffness difference between apoxie and magic sculpt during the mixing and "working" time range?

    • @DeeJayBeStudios
      @DeeJayBeStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I find Apoxie much firmer to use. It can be harder to mix & smooth. Magic Sculpt is much softer. Easier to mix to a smooth consistency. It also is stickier & likes to adhere to surfaces easier. The working time range is the same. I’ve found some inconsistency with Apoxie in its curing, so that is why I’ve switched to magic sculpt.
