I still don't get how the commentator could get the wrong fencers when he just finished commentating them during that Decsi vs Gu leg, and I'm like 'was he even watching?' Nonetheless, the match was brilliant, I enjoy the no.1 and no.2 team in world right now giving excellent fight with each other
Bu Bongil, Bu Gongil, and Gu Bongil are actually identical triplets. Thanks to an obscure FIE rule, each one is allowed to fence one leg of the tournament. Only intelligent and experienced commentators like Karim know which one is which though.
I know its a different language but as many times as youve said it, theres no excuse for such blatant mispronunciations of these legendary fencers. Year after year its basically the same fencers but for some reason these commentators still get it so wrong. Check ur ignorance and speak better already!
