Traditional Taiwanese Shaved Ice Delight || Meinoing's Classic Freeze-out || 台湾古早味冰品 || 古早味剉冰

We treated ourselves to some classic style Taiwanese shaved ice on a hot day. This old school shaved ice place is owned and operated by one of MuYi's former classmates from school days. He's been in business for over 30 years and it's definitely the right treat to beat the heat in the Meinong district of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. If you happen to visit this area you should stop by and try it out.

It really is. Taiwan desserts aren't as sweet as what we are used to here but it's still sweet enough. And he serves up plenty to help beat the heat!

i never mixed the ingredients up before having it. i'd spoon-dig the ice from the edge, like treasure hunting, enjoying it bit-by-bit and mining all the way thru the whole plate. shaved ice rules!

I love this style of shaved ice. We were in Taiwan for 3 months and we went to this place 3 or 4 times while in Meinong. We will go there again when we return. Thank you so much for watching!
