In this video:
I go to the key largo fisheries to load up on some chum and frozen google eye which we will use as cut bait. Then I ride to Dans house where his boat is in the water. We load up the boat and head through Adams cut and out of the John Pennekamp state park.
I fish a lot more south of Key Largo, more the tavernier area so i'm pretty excited to try some new grounds. We start by anchoring up in shallow 15ft water and chum with hopes of cathing live ballyhoo. Soon the ballyhoo arrive and I catch some. Dan catches a bunch of Ballyhoo his net!
We catch tons of snapper. Some yellowtail snapper, some mutton snapper. We also caught a handful of grouper, too bad they are out of season! There's also a few other species mixed into the fish we were catching. I'll be whole frying one of these yellowtail snapper in this catch and cook.
We troll some ballyhoo along the reef and you would not believe what we hooked into in 20ft of water while trolling. It blew my mind! Then we run off the edge of the reef and troll more hoping to get a wahoo or tuna.
After trolling offshore we anchor up in 55ft of water off the reefs edge and start bottom fishing again. We catch a fat grouper. 2 actually. And even a moray eel and a few other things. More snapper of course. I'm ready for this catch n cook, i'm pretty hungry let's head back in!
In this catch and cook I whole fry a yellowtail snapper dipped in corn meal. Whole fried fish is amazing and I recommend anyone to try this catch and cook recipe. catch clean and cook. We get back to Dans house where I clean some of the fish. Then I stop at publix to pick up some extra ingredients and the cooking begins!

Haha, I love the fact you were full of the immature jokes in this one. A little different than the other videos I have seen from you thus far. Also, the sheer variety is your catch in this one is absolutely amazing. The nurse shark, moray, hound fish, parrotfish... incredible. Also that hound fish looks just like needlefish and some pipefish.

for frying the whole fish use that . Corn starch, ground cumin, Garlic minced and salt . Smether the whole thing after gutting it and take the gilles away . put the spices inside the fish and out side . fry in oil submerge. enjoy with lemon. let me know n. I enjoy all your video, kind regards;

I went to key west opening day of grouper season and dropped down a Speedo first thing. I got ran into a rock and broke off instantly. Dropped another down on a bigger set up and as soon as it hit the bottom I got smoked. I had my giant black grouper coming up with 5 giant sharks behind it.luckily I got it and played with sharks all day getting spooled once.

Looks like another windy several days again, maybe we can hook up and do a bay run sometime this this week.

Hey Heiko. I drove thru your neighborhood last Saturday on the way back from big pine key to mia. We were sight fishing on the flats. You've got it made down there.
It's a great place! How did you do on the flats?
Jumped more than a dozen really big tarpon in a couple days. Got schooled! I got a few good looks and stuck a couple with flies, but it didn't last long. Managed to bring in some nice baracuda. We had a blast! You live in fishing paradise bro.

We vay-cay there 5 times a year and we stay at those condos at the mouth of Adams cut with the red roofs
The most important lesson I've learned from fishing the Keys, in the 70's, and 80's, overkill in gear, is not overkill... Just sayin. Steel leaders, and a semi heavy weight line does justice. I mean you can always through them back.
Being a chef, Always Crush your Garlic, to release the oil you trying to achieve for flavor... You can always reuse oil, simply filter...Your Welcome.

I've caught many sharks off the beach when I was younger but I dunno. I like to eat what I catch and I don't eat shark so I just haven't targeted them. Maybe i'll take some friends shark fishing one day and put them on some good fights
South Florida Fishing Channel hell ya man shark fishing is just so thrilling to me. Man vs prehistoric monster beast. You saw a tiger, hammer and a nurse in one day, that would make my month! Eating fish is awesome but you spend so much money going out and on your gear, def not cost effective, it's more for the fun and adventure if you know what I mean, might as well wrestle some sharks on spinning tackle (makes it super intense). Would also make super sweet content for the TH-cams, love your vids either way my boy.
