Great video. Love Gtechniq products and really looking forward to trying Ceramic Wash one day. The music in the video is a bit loud and sometimes takes over the talking, please could the music be lowered slightly, just my hearing is a bit errrrr. Great work guys and great explanations by Lee!
Thanks for explaining where the Ceramic GWash fits in; I never knew that it was a final stage product and thought that it was a GWash replacement. I can now modify my 3 bucket routine to suit this new product, as well as using it for my Pre-Car Show rinse off 😊
I love this discussion with the chemist! He does a great job explaining technical topics in an easy to understand way. I hope you do more videos with him!
I have a Model Y (End Q2 2022) with front half PPF and Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra Black with 2x Coates EXOv4/Halo. My first three months washing regime, every week or ten days, has been: Autoglym Ph Neutral Snow foam; rinse with Spotless Water; two bucket method washing with Ceramic Wash; final rinse with Spotless water and dry. Now, based on various snippets of advice and rumour, I am concerned that a) I might have overdone by using snow foam and b) that I was wrong to use your Ceramic Wash, which, incidentally, I enjoyed using with its no foam properties. Now, with the Ceramic Wash bottle empty, I have switched to GWash. At last to my questions: Have I, during these first four months of "care" done any harm to my coating or PPF? And, should I now stop the snow foam and use only GWash? Finally, do you recommend any other of your products to enhance or protect the coatings? Thank you for your patience if you have waded through this post.
Hi Brendan, first off your maintenance regime sounds fine and there is no need for concern. Ceramic Gwash leaves behind dirt-repellent properties to make ongoing maintenance quick and easy. Whereas the Gwash is just a very effective car wash with no additional properties. It comes down to personal preference, but Ceramic Gwash is a great product for use during the winter.
@@GtechniqUK Thank you very much for your swift response and reassurances. On the strength of your advice I have ordered another 500ml of Ceramic Wash and Gtechniq Citrus Snow Foam. Best wishes.
I want please more video to explain how to. Maintane your ceramic coating how to. Apply them and also the differences between your ceramic coatings? Thanks. Great video. Looking forward for. @@tafl-9198 If you store it in a cool dry place then you have at least a year - probably more. You only really get issues when the product is exposed to extreme cold or hot temperatures.
Streaking will typically be related to a couple of things. Over application of the product or the panel being too hot. This product needs to be used on a cold surface with cold water.
The answer you gave Noelsaw I has confused me. I have just put crystal serum light on my car plus eXOV5 and I’m trying to figure out the best shampoo. Is it the regular G3 or is it the ceramic wash that will make my coating. Stay good the longest?
If you are looking for maximum hydrophobic performance then Ceramic GWash would be the best product to go for. I think Noelsaw was asking if you could use the Ceramic GWash as a quick detailer rather than a wash - which is a no. Hope this helps clarify things.
We recommend using a thorough decontamination wash process, which would mean that using a good shampoo such as Gwash would be a necessary part of the process. Heres a link to our recent decontamination wash video - th-cam.com/video/2r4uACGiB6c/w-d-xo.html
So....I have just coated my truck w/serum light and was wondering 1) do I use the ceramic G wash as a regular wash and how often to wash...is there such thing as washing too much and 2) how often can I use C2 on the truck ?? dont want to buy too much and go past the open container 1yr exp date
You can indeed use Ceramic GWash and use it as often as you like. There is no such thing as washing too much, but the coating keeps the truck cleaner for longer. In terms of C2, again you can use this as often as you like.
If you already use the Ceramic GWash then not much. It is entirely up to the customer. Some customers prefer a wash with no additives and some customers prefer a shampoo which leaves behind hydrophobic protection. There is no right or wrong, It all comes down to personal preference.
Hi, i have XPEL Stealth PPF applied to my car and they have advised not to apply ceramic coatings to the satin PPF as the appearance changes. Do you have any information on this and is the Ceramic GWash ok for XPEL Stealth?
The black marks left on the surface will likely be due to the product being applied in hot temperatures or to hot paint. We always recommend applying this Ceramic product using cold water and on cold paint.
As above it’s probably because you chose to apply in direct sunlight or allowed to dry for too long. The product is amazing and is my preference over G wash and other similarly priced ceramic shampoos on the market.

The music is disturbing while trying to listen to the chemist!
Very interesting to hear but a little difficult to focus on with what they are saying with the background music.

I use ceramic g wash in a foam cannon for chassis and wheel arches. It is excellent for the surface.
My car is CSL and EXO v4 coated
What ratio with the ceramic Gwash you used for the foam cannon?
@@Jason-yo8nk 10% ratio , it’s a bit wasteful but does a great job .
Shampoing top 👍
Can you still use C2V3 as a drying aid after using ceramic G-wash?
You can indeed!

Do you produce a coating for the fender wells, so that road grime, dirt, and rubber filings don't accumulate in the wells?
We have have C4 Trim Restorer for plastic surfaces. For fabric surfaces, you could use Smart Fabric.
Awesome video. Looking forward to trying the new G-Wash V2. Does V2 have better lubricity than V1 ?
Yes, the V2 has better lubricity.
@@GtechniqUK how good is the long term shelf-life/stability of G-Wash ? Can I expect any issues ?

I seem to be experiencing streaking with ceramic wash. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or using too much?
Streaking will typically be related to a couple of things. Over application of the product or the panel being too hot. This product needs to be used on a cold surface with cold water.
Can I use this as a quick detailer on a car with CSL and ExoV5? If so, what’s the dilution ratio?
This will not work due to the formulation of the Ceramic Gwash. It will streak if you try to water it down and use it as a detailer.
Sounds great!)

Is GWash fine to be used as the main shampoo to prepare the car for CSL application? Or do you recommend using a purpose built strip wash instead?

You can indeed, the two are compatible with one another
I wish I could make out ALL of the details over the completely unnecessary background music. SO annoying!
Agree. A little hard to hear with the background music.
Would it make sense to presoak with gwash in a foam cannon, rinse, then hand wash with ceramic gwash? My car is newly coated with CSU/EXO
Wouldn’t you just use GTQ’s own snow foam instead as that’s what it’s designed to be used as.
Do you dry the car after the wash!?
Yes, we recommend drying the vehicle after washing it.
But what is honestly the purpose of W1 if you just use W3?

Ceramic Gwash is suitable for matt or satin paint and PPF finishes.
Ceramic wash it absolutely rubbish, leaves marks all over the black car, used it 3 times and same rubbish result 3 times until I binned it!
