Hey there, enjoy your videos even though you are a Hawkeye.....(Husker here). Do you think you guys will ever upgrade tractors to some newer(used) equipment? I am just curious as I know you guys get a lot of use out of all of them with the Dairy operation and not just crop farming.
Approximately how deep were you running the shanks while you were chiseling, Eli? It seemed like the plow was bouncing around in the later footage (after we saw you chuck the rock down the hill).
Ok. We used to pull a 714 9 shank with a 7710 2wd and it had the power just lacked the traction at times, but most of the time it did well. Dad traded for an 8130 MFWD and it handles it pretty easily.
@@iowadairyboysFarms but does it really how much is it costing you it takes a few years the make healthy soil but it needs less fertilizer to grow the same yields in the long run you'll make more money

When the markets rebound we will be getting some newer equipment. Want some 600+ bushel wagons and a 8410 or some thing like that.
Thank you for the video

8-9 inches. Was bouncing because I was going faster because I had to get home and start milking cows.
Really like the done shots.
Santana?
Great video can't wait to see more
That is 11 shank right? 4450 handles it well.
9 and has problems

Do you have the power just not the traction?
@@blakethompson7711 mainly traction but sometimes power as well
Are they drainage strips u are not plowing
Yep
why dont you shred before you plow?
Dont need to. It flows through good
Great video bud keep it up!!
714? Or 712?
712 it says that in the Title
I like milking videos more than cultivating videos. Just my preference.
Yeah but TH-cam demonetize me and people hate in the comments
Tillage is such a waste of time diesel money steel
Makes it yield more in this area

Well this field is going in oats next year and needs tillage to level it off. For how much of a yeild bump we get in corn it easily pays for itself.
James O Brien no till Nazis, no one asked your opinion !!!!
@@JamesOBrien2253 kind of a hypocrite aren't you!? Watched in your video where you talk about plowing. Long-term notill has been proven not to work
