- Serampore is a city of Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal.Serampore in West Bengal was Denmark’s colony in 18th century. It was a Danish outpost from 1755 to 1845. This West Bengal town is now restoring the buildings which bear testament to its European legacy. As a explorer and history lover, join me in a tour around Serampore, a town once known as Frederiksnagore, where Indian and Danish past and present meet. Follow the restoration of historic buildings, transformed from ruin to rebirth and historical places in Serampore, Hooghly.
