I think something people are misinterpreting is that we aren't saying they need to stop doing cute songs, but there isn't just one type of cute sound groups can do! We just want them to play around with actual concepts and instrumentation and styles, but we're not saying they have to change their image to something mature or girl crush (definitely not). You know I don't understand why International fans have this thing with Twice, asking them to change their concept, you don't see anybody asking Blackpink to change style they have done the same concept since debut just like Twice so why with them is different? We need to stop bullyng a concept. Twice's concept is not even super cutesy they are very unique in their music style. Music is music and we need to stop making everything about sexy badass and girlcrush, there isn't a better style, just enjoy them with the music they are putting out, for other styles you can search their special stages and some b-side songs, and to be honest they seem very confortable doing this style of music more than the others.

It's definitely not the first time we've mentioned a style change for a group (i.e KARD we've mentioned has to change it up a bit). And I understand that it's annoying to hear people downgrade their concept style (like the cute, quirky, etc style they have), we get that. In our case, we're not saying they need to completely just change their enitre concept cause again we love all their title tracks (even Signal that grew on us) and adore the girls, we just said it'd be nice if they can add something new to it. Please don't lump us with those reactoers because we do like the cute, fun concept they have. At the end of the day if TWICE likes it and continues doing it, that's great and fine more power to them. The upbeat and catchy chorus. 2ne1 had the badass concept their entire career and nobody questioned them to do "something different". Same goes for other girl groups. Just because its a cute concept and not hiphop/sexy/badass, Twice shouldnt be criticized if they choose to stick with what they know because a lot of girl groups does too.
Oh, I'm well aware it's their signature sound since I said that in the video 🙉 I also love all types of concepts and sounds from girl groups as shown in many of our reactions~ (I also was never a big fan of 2NE1 because of their sound haha) But as I said, I know it's their "signature sound", but it tends to get a bit repetitive and their songs have similarity to past songs. It'd be nice to see them grow more as artists in their sound instead of JYP have them "stay safe", even though they'd do well with any release since they're already so huge~ This opinion also stands for any group that stays in their safezone, which we've expressed many times with many groups. 💁
