That's strange that you have temp issues with the 2.0 I am running the same system in my sct410 2.0. The hobbywing max10 g2 with the 4000kv motor with the 16t pinion. Haven't taken it to our track yet, but I took it out for a speed test, and it's plenty fast on 2s. It's pretty crazy on 3s.
Thanks for commenting! Yeah I just need to run through it I bet something is rubbing or binding even though drive line and all feels ok…. Maybe a bad bearing somewhere. It ran fine for a few races but I am running a large pinion 😂 I like to go fast 😂. I’m gonna go through it and drop pinion sizes and go from there!
So I am at a 1/8 and 1/10 scale track. Middle ground between the two. It’s Augusta rc Supercross in ga. I am going to be racing the sct class. I can’t decide between the 2.0, the sl or a .3 right now off someone. Whatcha recommend? I’m not new at all to building and fixing rc cars and running them. But newer to racing and now wanting to get out of the rtr class and get me something
Man honesty my favorites would be 2.0 SL and .3 in that order…. That being said all of those are great vehicles with the SL being the least durable in my opinion. The .3 takes some tuning as it tends to be nose heavy. The SL and 2.0 stock build setup is nice! For anything on 1/8 track the 2.0 is for sure the most durable! Hope this helps you decide. Fastest SCTs at my local track right now in pro class run 2.0s
