Hey, MayMay...the "standard" approximation of measurement for women is that from fingertip of one's arm extended up to the nose is three feet (36 inches). So, exactly as you said from your fingertip to your shoulder (NOT nose) should have truly been 24 inches. How cool is that? Your project turned out so cute! Thank you for sharing it with us.

Here in ireland they are called cable ties and you can usually get them in a hardware shop...now i'm off to find some nice picks to try this!!
