He did see a lot of high end shooters, but there were no goalie instructors on the ice for the 1.5 hours that he was getting pucks drilled at him. It did get his legs + stamina stronger, but it had an negative effect on his form, positioning and reads. I think it's important to get the technical parts (goalie coach) + game pace (5 on 5 game play) in order to be ready for tryouts.

All on a case by case basis but on a bounce of probability, skating in sessions is better than group stuff. Thanks for watching :)
