Very proud to have been a staff writer for a few years as it was my goal and High School thank you to dalecki Fred anyone that that enjoyed my writing and weird questions... Thank You. I really want to write something about breaking my neck in 2021 and being able to prove those doctors wrong and start riding daily again I've been hitting FDR as much as possible when I'm not babysitting my nephews but my nine-year-old nephew has a Kink 18in and just loves BMX. I took him to the Fast And Loose DVD Premiere at Berks BMX and he loves the trails, FDR but mostly street. He was even explaining to me why he thinks riding tree is so fun because he can just use his imagination.. hearing him say that with no outside influence from me.. wow! But I sat him down and we watched criminal mischief and Can I Eat.. so he was actually curious why BMX is in all fire and craziness anymore so I had to show him some swamp Fest footage . Im just stoked since 1995 BMX has been life and since getting the first issue of dig I was able to get which was when S&M was actually publishing I got it at the original little devil store and to me it was like finding the holy Grail of BMX media at the time. I had Tread.. but i knew of Dig from Road Fools 98.. but that first issue of dig I think had Josh Stricker on the cover at 9th St..? it was just amazing!! And I eventually got a subscription, became obsessed especially in high school with the secret spots issue. Even got Dolecki to send me an old copy once! I'm slacking on the past two yearbooks last one I have has the guy doing the flip at swamp fest.. if they both aren't sold out next time I get some money i know what is essential and im buying. .. hopefully, I've been riding some broken cranks all summer and have some fifteen-year-old Primo cranks I need to switch over and hopefully I don't need a Primo bottom bracket to ride the crank arms or I'm just putting more duct tape on the cranks 🤦♂️ but congratulations and maybe I can do a little write-up about going from not knowing if you're paralyzed to getting back behind bars and getting that confidence back to even do like a Smith grind it was scary at first. And it's just getting to the point I need to get with the times and ride some plastic pegs, although I was wearing a helmet when I had my crash the back peg which was and is steel whipped around and fractured my skull pushing a skull fragment against a brain artery.. scary shit.
jumping 41 feet to flat is sketchy, irresponsible and awesome, please do it again😁😉
Haha this is nuts. Seems like the best contest ever
We just missed the jam inside by the time we got there, so great to see what went down. Madness! Loved Gregs Hang-5 over the long jump. Priceless.
