Steelers fan here, think you should look up Andy Weidl as a GM replacement..he’s been co-GM with the Steelers and really helped to build the team particularly in the trenches in the last 2-3 years and helped a lot with the Eagles during their Super Bowl run

I don't blame DJ Moore or Jaylon Johnson for being frustrated!!!!! We have one of the leagues best teams with halfway competent coaching..... they see how talented this team is and how coaching and o line play is keeping us from being at worst 9-4 right now

@Barry - If you look at Joe Brady vs. Ben Johnson, you will realize that Joe Brady is the better candidate for the Bears. Ben Johnson benefits from being in a dome. The Lions have 105 TD's at home and in Minnesota the last 3 seasons under Johnson and only 59 TD's in other stadiums. Joe Brady's offenses are playing outside and the numbers are almost identical to Ben Johnson, in terms of points scored per game the last two seasons. Joe Brady is arguably the best head coaching candidate for the Bears.

This is what I’m worried about and why I’m leaning Vrabel. I’d rather have an established coach than take a swing on Ben Johnson

I'm hesitant on Vrabel or any defensive HC because you run the risk of going through OC's every other year. If you hire a successful OC, the chances are he's going to be a candidate as an HC after a year or two, and you have to start from scratch again.

It most certainly was a mixed bag of on the line and on the QB. Those on the QB are from WR's not getting seperation and the QB holding the ball to long waiting for the seperation instead of taking off or throwing it away.
Caleb will get close to that 4000 yard mark, more like 3750 if he plays all the games give him the experience and the full rivalry of the division to finish the season
One of biggest issues with bears is sacks on 3rd down and especially late in game when you are trying to win the game
Hope they bring in Saleh as the DC and hire ben johnson as HC.

We need one stud lineman, guard or center, one that anchors the OL and a WR that speedy and can create space. DJ nor Odunze are elite WR's. They're not threats. A speedy/shifty WR helps them.
Some of the Caleb Williams sacks are poor coaching schemes. Watching the All 22 film the receivers are not getting open because they are not spreading out the defense. That sack everyone is blaming on Caleb and Braxton. Every WR and TE was within 10 yards of each other with a DB less than 3 yards of every WR and TE. It made it easy for SF to cover our guys. Not only that, they only needed 3 players to cover our 4. Yes Caleb missed his check down to Swift on that play. But it is poor coaching to stack everyone within 10 yards from each other. This isn’t a one off play either. They stack their WR and TE on top of each other constantly. 70% of the time when Caleb throws the ball. At least 2 WR or TE are within 5 yards from each other.
If Ben Johnson is available and he is willing to come to us, he is by far my #1 option. If this is the case, he’s the only head coach candidate that’d be on my mind
Lions have the best o-line in the league. That’s a huge reason why they have so much success. Bears need to invest there this offseason heavily for his scheme to be worth anything with this team.
I think the Kittens have the only O-Line in the NFL with 5 #1 draft picks. Makes a difference. They did things the right way. HATE admitting that!😂

What I would do is let Jenkins go. Get Trey Smith, and Noah Fant if he doesn’t resign with the Seahawks. Get Hendrickson and Crosby in trades or Free agency. Then follow your draft. Possibly get another Safety depending on the Brisker situation.

Ever since he went on IR, nobody has mentioned Andrew Billings. Good Lord how important was he to this D line? The Bears were one of the best (the best for a time) teams against the run with him.

Everyone in the league is expecting us to shut him down, only us dumb Bears fans think their is anything left to prove, getting him killed and setback even further. One more game is fine but after that they need to shut and down and give all the TB boys their time to shine. You need to do another Mock Draft where all you do is take Oline and 1 Dline guy and you will get A+ from most Bears fans.

On 3rd down you can get close and actually go for it on 4th. No excuse to take sacks. Get the ball out and let your playmakers shine. All of the sacks will start taking a toll on his body.

How anyone thinks a defense can be good when your offense can't stay on the field for more than one set of downs at a time is beyond me. If the offense sucks the defense will be just as bad.
If Poles leaves, just promote Ian Cunningham to GM!

Bears fans are our own worst enemies. During the summer we praised “the greatest fleece trade of all time” with Carolina and now we’re turning around calling for poles job?? Because flus didn’t work out?? If we’re being honest a SB run with a rookie quarterback was a bit delusional but players were picked up to ease the quarterback transition. We still have a lot of draft capital and salary cap to improve the team. We need a coach and to build the trenches on both sides of the ball. This season has always been about Williams development for the long term.
NOPE! He failed with Davis, Claypool, got rid of Monty and Roquan. He nvr really fixed the O-Line. The Defense is top notch again, like others before him have done. It's time for homie to bounce and he's had 3yrs on a rebuild and kind of failed. Only thing I think came good outta this, was Caleb.

This team needs not so much a “leader of men” but the most successful and most intelligent prospect. Mike Vrable is not bad but does not meet my criteria. I have been a Bear fan for 82 years and I have seen it all. The game has changed, the players will be inspired by a head coach who can consistently out coach and outsmart the opposition. Without that….mediocrity.

We were 7-10 in 2023 now we are 4-9. Caleb is not the quarterback that is good for this team. Go learn somewhere else. We need someone who is close to ready. Caleb is not learning quick
enough. Making same mistakes he made in Collage. Look at film from his last year at USC start with Noter Game. He was given this job and did not
work for it. That's not good for team, when you have to earn your postion and Quarterback does not.

Caleb is not the guy we were promised. Everyone has forgotten a) we were guaranteed playoffs by all the major sports outlets; b) Mully, Greeny, etc were talking about 4000 yard passing seasons; c) there was talk about Caleb demanding team ownership. He was THAT GOOD. Everyone wants to blame everything but Caleb this year. All the firings, all the changes in play calling, none of that changed the fact that Caleb is just not good enough, not enough of a leader (so many rumors out there about Caleb being hated as a whiny entitled brat in the locker room), He Is Part of the problem. Trade him for a veteran QB, we can get a lot for Caleb bc he's still seen by the deluded of having a secret talent just waiting to blossom!
