@404TVfr That, and I wanted the final studio version! Everything in that outtake sounds different, especially the guitar. Those hyper crunchy jangly cleans aren't heard anywhere in the final
During the recordings, Kurt would fidget and want things to do with his hands Steve albini said in an interview, Kurt had this old Broken acoustic and would play it while doing the voice recording, that’s why it’s audible during certain songs in the beginning
definitely one of my favorite track in the in utero album and the 3 albums (bleach, nvm and in utero) my personal top: 1.-lounge act(an underrated masterpiece) 2.-pennyoral tea 3.-territorial pissings 4.-mr moustache 5.-school 6.-tourette's 7.-radiofriendly unit shifter
your videos are addicting i cant stop watching. you put so much detail and passion into every second of every video and you have such genuine and profound interest in everything you talk about. ive learnt so many amazing things about nirvana and you always get each detail down to the specifics and i just have so much respect. you’re great at guitar too and you were one of my main inspirations for learning guitar. very cool guy and i love everything about you and your videos. thank you sm :)))
fun fact: the reason the acoustic is in the recording is because when kurt recorded vocals (vocals were recorded separately), he liked to play the guitar as well, and he use the polly guitar for that
Took me a while to dial in the distorted tone just right, but I think I got pretty close! I was honestly more excited about having the Jaguar and Stella going at the same time, that was fun to do 😃
The lyrics and the chords are so beautiful, the way u putted the jaguar(i dont remember the name of the eletric guitar srry lol) with the stella harmony was so beautiful, congratulations!
nice work! i love how you also used the stella harmony to be insanely more accurate to the song, specially the 30th anniversary edition, though i think the distorted tone was a bit too bright. thanks, white strat eater man.
Thank you so much my friend, always happy to see a comment from you 😊 I thought about tacking on section at the end after the cover to talk about it, but there's not much to explain other than the amp/pedal settings and the panning. That's why I tried to include all that info on the screen during!
@@NirvanaGuitars Aaah. Thank ya. Anytime, my dude! I like that you make your own sounds with what you have, always makes me feel better about my setup.

@@NirvanaGuitars Yes they are pretty good studio wise. But for me the definitive version of pennyroyal tea was the unplugged version. I love that it was Kurt and Pat. And as for rfus, it’s between great western or live and loud.

Do you ever plan on getting some more amps? Such as a quad reverb with those special speakers or a mesa studio pre amp with a marshall cab with celestion 30s? Sick tone btw! I think this is your closest yet!
Hey I was always wondering I’ve been trying to match your finger placement on this video (it worked I can play pennyroyal tea now) where do you find your guitar tabs?
How do you go about gain staging your clean parts and distorted parts? If I used the same amp volume, EQ and presence for both clean and distorted, the DS-2 makes it so loud. It’s pretty loud at 2 o’clock as opposed to 5:30.
Amazing as always, and I have a question, are you going to make a part 2 or a complete redo (like what you did with your reading 1992 video) of you snl 1992 tone video now that you have a hotrails strat??
Thank you! That honestly had not crossed my mind but that's a great idea 😮 I should totally redo that one and try to dial in that Territorial Pissings strat tone too. Added that to my list, thank you so much for the suggestion!

I feel like nevermind and in utero the two hardest nirvana studio albums to recreate
GOD, didn't realize that the Jag and Stella were such a good combo!!!
Accidently started this video at 1.5 playback speed, 10/10 would recommend it. It was a really good accident. Also good playing there my friend!
Favourite song played with favourite guitar

Looks like we're getting In Utero studio tones now, I'm hyped

He definitely plays A Major in the verse at times on the unplugged version
And that’s why he was such a genius
2:33 YOUR ON CRACK!
Lol I learned most of my nirvana song riffs either by watching Kurt or just from your videos it makes it really easy to pick it up
Smashed a guitar for the first time today, very fun 👍
Good stuff, amazing tone holy
Hi, do you want to make a video about Kurt's telecaster that he used in 1992?

I think he used the poly chorus on the filter matrix setting on distortion
Can you do a video on the history of kurt cobain's competition Mustang.
so is this one of those songs where they stacked the sansamp with the ds2
Will there be a video on how it was made? Changing the whole bridge setup? The hole of the tremolo block and screw holes
Well done Eric that was heart keep making the great content like you do ❤
