  • Today I'm making paper dolls from magazine cut outs. These are great for adding to junk journal pages or backing with cardstock to display on their own. With so many options for paper play time, I hope you'll join me for another episode of What-Can-I-Make-with-That Wednesday. This is a fun and easy upcycling project.

      Hi! Thanks so much for your comments. Don't worry about things getting thrown away. I have trouble tossing out the tiniest of scraps. Lol. We have a recycle art center here (which is where I go if I need something specific), so if I decide to let go of magazines, etc. they'll go there. Sometimes I think about cleaning everything out, but then I think I might want it. (So much paper and so little space!) Do you have lots of paper to store? If so, what's your system? :)

    • @tarataylor104
      @tarataylor104 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@craftmagickandcheese I am new to mixed media, but have a rapidly growing collection of papers that I am constantly adding to. I use several storage methods including binders with page protectors, some with machine sewn pockets for different sized pieces; file folders within hanging folders that I added fabric to close the open sides and keep pieces from falling out; a couple accordion folders with file sections and a plastic scrapbook paper portfolio, all found at thrift shops. I’m always willing to change things up if I find new storage solutions that don’t take a lot of space.

      @craftmagickandcheese  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@tarataylor104 Those are all great ideas. I never thought about closing up the sides of file folders. I have a storage tub system. @craftmagickandcheese  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, right now I'm dealing with some medical issues, so I'm not filming. But, I can tell you about my super simple set up. I use a goose neck, bendable tablet holder from Amazon. I paid about $20 for it. (A lot of people use them to hold/access phones and tablets as a secondary screen while they work on a computer.) When I clamped it to my table, I thought it moved too much, so my hubby used some scrap wood to make a little clamping spot on the ceiling. Thus, the tablet hangs over my table out of my way and doesn't move, but I can take it on and off easily. I can also use the gooseneck to adjust it's position. I hope this helps. :)
