I watched her on her morning talk show until l left in June 1983 for my first overseas assignment in the Netherlands. By the time l return back to the states in June 85, she had moved to Chicago and was soon becoming a household name.
You are not alone. I ordered a pamphlet in the mail from Ann Landers How to make friends and stop being lonely, but I haven't read it yet otherwise I could offer a tip or two. Maybe there's a video here on TH-cam? I have one friend and we talk on the phone infrequently; he lives two time zones east. I have thought of joining a book group or boardgame group or doing volunteer work thinking I might be able to connect with someone. Instead I sit and watch videos on TH-cam and leave comments in the comment section. I'm only friendly when I smoke weed as it lessens my social anxiety. I haven't used weed for 15y; I wish it was legal here.
