Looks good. Looking as I have been given an old Cadet 270 ALU. Dyou not think just screwing the fishing attachments in wouldve done? Asking for a lazy friend ;-)
Good morning from Vancouver Island British Columbia. Thanks for watching my video! Just to clarify you are talking about screwing into the seat right? You could do that.... but the problem is the seats are hollow. The aluminum is really not all that thick so putting a screw through the top layer only in my opinion would not be strong enough to hold a rod holder. Putting a screw through both the top and bottom layer would leave a pointy bit exposed..... towards a rubber boat. Not ideal :) . When I bolted them through the bolts were too long so I ground them smooth to alleviate any possible pointy bit contact with rubber :) Hope this helps. As an FYI I would do the Scotty cam lock mounts again. They make the seat easier to store and give a bunch of options for mounting other stuff. Cheers
@@jamorg2306 Makes sense thanks. The seat to my boat is in storage so I didn't realise it was hollow. Scotty does look ideal as it comes apart that well.
Just watched the video again. I would add that if you are talking about screwing into the transom. You could do that and it would probably be strong enough. I live on the ocean and have a bigger boat as well. When mounting rod holders you want them strong.... so my habit kicked in and I through bolted the rod holders.... :) Probably overkill!! :) Cheers
Stovic, saw your 1 inch/4 inch question but can't find it here?? I put the 4 inch tracks on to give more room for more stuff. A 1 inch track would work for 1 item. Keep the questions coming. :) LOL Cheers
It appears that the Yam 275 is roughly the same size as the Zodiac 270; so, 5HP enough, no and yes. NO: The Honda 4, 5 and 6 family are all the same engine. There were no 6's available when I bought this rig. The difference between the 6hp and 5hp is a $300 carburetor... I am going to upgrade. It would be a 20% increase in power. The 5hp will plane with 1 person and I saw 25km/h by myself. With another person in the boat it would not plane. So YES and here's the deal. For me it is fine for what I bought it for. I use it for small lakes and keep it stowed unassembled in the back of my Toy hauler. When you go up to the next size, 8hp+, you add another 30lbs of engine weight.... So the engine becomes almost 100lbs. 55-60lbs is manageable for me, 100lbs is doable, but too much. Hope that helps. Cheers.
@@jamorg2306 thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts, I agree with ur analysis, will go for the 6 HP, I was thinking getting a Yamaha outboard, seems a bit lighter than Honda, the downside is that internal Gas capacity is just 1.1 litre vs Honda 1,5. Cheers!

@@jamorg2306 oh it's definitely a better job and means you're less likely to do it again 👍

Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Full Windshield for your 2017 Honda Pioneer 500
Thankyou for the offer. Unfortunately I recently purchased a windshield for my P500. Do you folks have anything for a CFMoto Z500? Cheers
@@jamorg2306 Hi, thanks for letting me know, for now, we don't have, once we have anything suits your model, we will contact you again~
Do you think a 5 HP is enough for a Yam 275 Air or any other lighter inflatable same size for two people?
