    I often have problems in top guard when people get a deep strong overhook on me. This should be a very good counter :)

    Really stoked when I saw the title. Your Tozi pass and Tozi Stack Pass videos were game changing for my personal game, and a big part of why i started following your channel. Another dope vid in this vein. Thank you sir.

    Just to let you know, as a 5'3" person, the traditional guard breaks simply don't work. I can't make enough distance to break their legs apart even if I get a fully extended traditional break. But this one is amplified by my shorter stature. It's so damn good and I wish I learned it years ago! It's my favorite style too, inch forward with intense pressure and never stop.

    My friend loves to get that overhook in and start working for the triangle, gogo or omoplata, and I have to admit I am struggling every time he does it. However, with this way of paying attention to getting that knee in, grabbin the thigh to head control-stack pass I am pretty sure his submission percentage will decrease an awful lot :) Awesome instructional!

      Just came back from practice, and I gotta say WOW! From now on this will be one of my go to techniques from the closed guard. Once you get that knee in under the butt and control the head I am home! Thanks for sharing!

      Mike Carinum dude if you are hitting it first few times you’re gonna make lots of training partners unfriend you after a month 🤣 I make people beg me to pass with that head control lol

    This looks great! I find that a the passes I have been taught seem to work well for big guys but hopefully this will work for me.

      Som Dum Goi cross face is everything, lose the cross face abandon and start over

      ZombieProofBJJ, sounds good thanks man, I'll comment tomorrow night and let u know how it worked out for me, thanks again bro ur one of the very best BJJ channels out there keep it up

      ZombieProofBJJ it worked for me at first but once the guys were on to me I went for the Tozi pass, works on everyone but this one bigger dude wouldn't let me get the strong cross face and he just leg presses me over with the Tozi, I have to go to my feet with wrist control to break his guard. Any suggestions for rolling with much bigger stronger opponents?

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Som Dum Goi you need the crossface or the hard neck crank, it’s the only way to control bigger guys on these passes

    • @Chris-bl3ep

      ZombieProofBJJ sounds good buddy I'm sure I need to practice getting control with the cross face and neck crank only been training for about a year and just recently discovered ur channel and these passes. I'll keep trying thanks for the assist bro🙏

    Nice one! When you do this version with cross face , and when the nogi version with cranking the head to the shoulder? Ooss

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      elad levi NoGi is exactly the same, I don’t need any Gi grips for this ... crossface pressure is everything

    • @iameladlevi
      @iameladlevi 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ZombieProofBJJ Thanks! So the tozi pass with head crashing and cross face are both for gi and nogi. Right?
      Which works better for you?
      This or this

      elad levi I have equal success with both and I blend them together depending on reactions and body types

    White belt noob here....when you say brutal pass, is this something where your training partners may not be happy with this move? Is there a chance you could upset someone in the same way that elbows digging into knees is frowned on?

    Can they get a flower sweep when you stack like that or no?

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brian M not when it’s done right, the neck pressure from the cross face should shut down any offence

  • @nickfilippas6297

    Does this revolve around the principles(/variation) of the sao paulo pass?

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nick Filippas yes, what I call the Tozi Pass ... Very similar principles, pressure is a must and if you lose control at anytime you have to start over

      Kemi George I can make one for you, I got much better at Tie Dye since then 🤣 #twins

      @kemigeorge6294 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the best thing I've ever seen. The actual guard pass in the video is a close second. Will try it later today. The pass, not the tie dye.
