Thanks for the review. Any chance you can tell us what the middle position does with the pulled tone pot? I didn't see you use that position in the all of the samplings. I thought I read somewhere that it gives all three split to single coils? Thanks.
The guitar has to go on the scale again, I have it in Gloss Trans Flamed Cherry of course Fusion III, and it weighs without tremolo handle 3.252 g + 35 g for the handle. So the Harley Benton Fusion-III is 283 g lighter than my Yamaha Pacifica 112V 3.535 g + 32 g for the handle. Otherwise, I can only agree with all the information and explanations. 👍👍👍👍
Beautiful looking guitar! The black back is bit of a letdown, but the flame maple looks amazing! Ide like a roasted maple guitar and I think this may be the one. Thanks for sharing!
Please give me an advice, I play covers with my band, tell me should I buy HSH or HSS. Let’s say that HSS looks better (more Strat look) but it seems to me that with HSH I can get a better sound to play, let's say, CCR, Santana, what do you suggest?
I know its subjective but I play mostly bass but do play guitar with my worship team at church. I had a nice squier classic vibe tele but im infatuated with this guitar. What would be a good amp for this using mostly cleans?
Probably a Fender. I recently bought the little Fender Mustang LT-25 and it has nice clean tones (as well as as lots of other great modelled tones too).
Useful video. How is the tuning stability on this guitar? I’ve read the trem isn’t so great. On this vid it sounds slightly out despite your excellent playing. I’m not a trem user and wish this had a hard tail.
The tuning stability is surprisingly good. Without tremolo use it stays perfect in tune. The tremolo is pretty decent, at least if you don’t do divebombs all the time.
@Rodolfo Misao tbh, you'll never get the same stability out of the Wilkinson as you would out of a true locking tremolo like a floyd. They just aren't designed to be able to do the same things. But, if you want to give it the best fighting chance, I'd focus on the nut before anything. The tuners and trem are fine, and the springs would be more of a preference based on how you like the trem to feel and your string gauge. I'd just have a luthier set it up and make sure the nut is properly cut and lubricated or have it replaced altogether. Otherwise, just go for Floyd equipped version of these.
I've had the Fusion for half a year now. I have a love-hate relationship with the pickups (less attack) but will eventually replace them. The Wilkinson tremolo is nothing to do with. This one is so unstable that you keep tuning. I have been to several luthiers but no result. So also another tremolo. The thin E string is too close to the edge of the neck, so you press it very quickly next to the neck.
