Making Seamus Finnigan's Wand

The sixth wand to appear in Harry Potter is Seamus Finnigan's Wand!
I tried my best to make it as accurate as possible, but it was a little difficult to make it look identical without having the physical prop to reference.

How did you scale up the image of the wand?

Honestly, I just printed a reference photo to look at for the detail and it just happened to be roughly the right size for the length of the wand (13") 😅 Ideally, I would have the replica wand to go off of, but I don't have Seamus'.

@@SauinWands ah. I just completed a movie accurate replica of Voldemort’s wand but I made a lot of mistakes and didn’t have a whole template to trace but I’m not sure how to scale wand images to the size I need

That's awesome! Definitely going to be an interesting wand to make when I get there! You could probably print out the image first, measure it, apply the necessary ratio to scale it and then print it again. I'm sure there's probably some cad software out there that could do it for ya too.

@@SauinWandsfair enough. A lot of other people have made his wand but they’re straight whereas in the film it looks snake like and personally I like that look a bit better

Yeah, a lot of the wands have slight curves to them in the movies, but the replica companies seem to have made them completely straight for easy production. Going to try to make them as close to the movies as possible though :)
