I like Kings of Queens a lot but Seinfeld is much better. For one Seinfeld did it's own thing and never "borrowed" from other shows. King of Queens has a few episodes which were definitely "influenced" by Seinfeld.

They had a little rough start with season 1 where they still have had to figure things out but the chemistry and the generel writing has developed quickly. It started to go downhill with season 5 I agree, but only noticeable to die hard fans in my opinion. season 6 was still great. For me, season 7 is where the big decline started. The comedy got weirder and less casual. The storyline moved to extremes while the marriage was set up for failure. If it hadn't been for the acting and chemistry of Kevin and Leah the show would have been canceled right there. I don't watch season 9. Apart from some moments it's almost unrecognizable as a true King of Queens show.

wow. i did not know that was her and I watched Entourage religiously. i think it was the hair style that threw me off. i first saw her on an episode of the Wayans Bros where she looked just like she did on this show.

Its amazing there wasn't a huge explosion every time Oswalt and Kevin James were in the room. Like matter and anti-matter meeting, except comic genius meeting comic embarrassment.
It also made no sense when Arthur gave Carrie the torso of a dummy, so that she'd be safe when riding the subway. That's what makes him Arthur Spooner.
Imagine only seasoning food after you cook it. You know what they say "Don't cook in the flavor". Dry rubs and marinades Before the food is cooked? That makes no sense.
if he had a peanut allergy he would be dead the second his hand touched the peanuts. he'd be dead long before the peanut reached his mouth. that's one of, if not the most violent allergy.

The show aired in 1998 and got canceled in 2007, king of queens was the last 90s sitcom show to go off the air.
