again a very interesting mv they have changed genre again. what is quite new is that IVE talks in these last 2 MV's about subjects that idols generally talk about after several years of career. the hatred of certain fans, the incomprehension of certain others, and in this MV the loneliness and lack of romantic relationship. It's as if they had a weight on their shoulders that was very difficult to manage. Which is very sad for a group that is in this second year of their career. even if actually Yujin and Wonyoung are more in their 5th years. it is also unexpected to see them more vulnerable and intimate in their last 2 MV's whereas they had accustomed us to more grandiose concepts where they overflowed with confidence. I like to see both sides of their lives.
I think the apple is also meant to symbolize something they shouldn’t have. They also mention ‘the forbidden island’ and the ‘forbidden fruit’ and how forbidden things are sometimes the most tempting. They dream about love but a trilling one, they don’t want something that’s just sweet but also exciting and dangerous, with a ‘huge plot twist’. I love how they say that right before the bridge which is a twist sound wise, it becomes very romantic & ethereal, just like a ‘fantasy’, their love fantasy. I really love it, the concept of the lyrics is great, I can’t wait for the main title track. This will be on loop.

I've only been watching your channel for about a month as I was working my way through the plethora of I AM MV reactions but yours has been my favourite so I've actively checked out all your other IVE reactions and have loved your very much openness towards the hate the group, particularly Wonyoung have recieved and how you instantly acknowledged that with Either Way's opening lines.

Im in love with this mv and song so much.
The mv is so interesting to me. It looks unique compared to regular kpop mvs ,especially in terms of sets and color schemes even tho I can't really point out which part or how exactly its different.
Not to mention the song itself tho, their vocals are amazing and the chorus melody is so catchy.

im a super fan of Love Dive, and while seeing the poster of Off The Record im incredibly happy that they bring out the cupid concept again. But wowwww your explanation and analysis is on another levelllll. it makes me appreciate the music video and creative team behind the production even more

Leeseo as being the youngest/maknae of all had the turn/chance to plant the apple seed (in love dive they were playing that spinning thing same as this one) Leeseo then grant a wish, she cries fearing her wish doesn't materialize, but to her unknown self the seed becomes a tree and lots of apples fall all over the place.
I enjoy that "love me love me, leave me leave me" it's a taken from "Love Fool - by Cardigans" and it's a hint that falling in love the first time you'll get hurt.
Just 'off the record' , love can mean many things to different person.
