  • The Green Associate (GA) Credential is the globally recognized foundational sustainability credential. Whether you plan to be involved directly or indirectly in LEED, this credential is carried out by many sustainability professionals. It communicates that you are continually learning sustainability in your profession. The GA is the first step to getting your LEED Accredited Professional (AP) and then your LEED Green Rater or LEED Fellow if you wish to continue to advance.
This session will be the introductory part 1 session to an additional seven parts that will introduce you to green associates, sustainable business, and green building and see if you are interested in joining the study group to prepare you for the GA exam.
Once we determine interest in the course, we will determine what weeks, days, and times we will host the remaining sessions. These include
    LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION
    SUSTAINABLE SITES
    WATER EFFICIENCY
    ENERGY & ATMOSPHERE
    MATERIALS & RESOURCES
    INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY
INNOVATION IN DESIGN | Summary | Next Steps
During the entire 8-part series, we will go over the seven aspects of sustainability in the built environment, what you need to know about these for LEED, what new technology and ideas are being implemented, and take the practice exams to prepare you for your Green Associate exam.
    Student Support
Students in the USGBCWM region on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of 5 will get $100 back for successful exam completion from the chapter.
    Presenter
Brett Little, LEED AP Homes, and Green Rater have been instructing, learning, engaging, consulting, and rating LEED projects for over a decade. While traditional Green Associate courses often focus on the commercial sector, Brett will bring a unique perspective from his career in residential green building to this class as the places we live become more important to the business sector with work from home and buildings being converted to living spaces as we face a major housing shortage.
