Here we are, a year and a half later. Ste is alone again, Brendan is in jail for life, and Doug is dead. Just once, I would like to see a gay storyline - even in the soaps - where a gay couple can be happy together for a while and they face the "soap drama" together as a couple and not have it come between them. Both Ste AND John Paul McQueen deserve a relationship that doesn't end in tragedy or heartbreak.
This puts JP's proposal to Ste to shame, and Ste's proposal to JP to shame. Really puts into perspective how rushed the Ste/JP marriage is, but oh well--that's a soap!
As much as I loved Doug/Ste they were such drama queens and so whiny and annoying! Ste did everything to proof his love and built everything up and Doug always ruined it with his insecurities. I really think they were better off without each other
