Cutting 7 large sized "Condor" agate rough nodules from Argentinia!
In this video, I will take you with me on my thoughtprocess of how I cut 7 Condor Agates from Argentinia. Cutting agates is not as easy as it may seem, a lot of thought goes into it, and sometimes difficult decisions need to be made. I explain how to place a cut to avoid windows in the husk of an agate and many more details that are helpful to know, if you want to cut agates.
Agates are truly amazing pieces of art, made by mother nature, but there is only one way to reveal their beauty: Cutting the agate.
I hope you enjoy this video.

I really like that you take the time to explain where and why you are cutting them. I like 6 and 3 the best 😉

Thank you very much for your feedback. It may be very detailed for some, but I'm glad you liked the longer explanations :)

I have cut hundreds of condor agates and I agree with you that they’re nearly impossible to read. Almost all the time, what you think it will look like vastly differs from how it turns out. Fun watch. Thanks!

That is true. You have high expectations, but the result can be so different.

My favourite was number 4. I loved it so much I even went and bought it from your shop where I was really happy to see one piece was left to this date ☺

To be able to read Condor agate rough with accuracy , you will have to cut thousand of nodules like Iuis de los Santos did.
And for the way you explain how to cut Condor nodules, seem like you have been talking also to Luis de los Santos, congrats...you learn well..🙂

Where the cutting is being shown at 1:19 seems to be a different location/room than beginning of the video. The shelving in the background is noticeably different than the block walls seen at the start and throughout. So, I am guessing you have two of that hooded saw at that location in two adjoining rooms? Wow, at 10:08 in the video, my guess is confirmed, LOL!

I don’t do much selling but I find your approach to cutting interesting. I usually try to cut through the middle of the window because I think the induction point makes for a nice characteristic. But, do you find that the symmetrical ones sell better? I may adjust my cutting if I ever decide to sell.
