@Ruxis256 After putting more time into the game it really is very feature complete as is and devs are basically doing daily updates. Well worth the price.

Thanks for the playthrough series, I just started. Dyson has been a very interesting learning curve, but I’m glad you’re not a boring play through to watch. Blue boxes of science and inserters made me laugh.
I don't really recommend building stuff at the poles why?: [slight SPOILER ahead!] , it's about the dyson swarm you can later on build the dyson swarm (a lot of small mirrors cirling the star) which redirect the rays of the star, to use these rays on your planet to make power you need a ray reciever, this ray reciever works just as a solar panel basically, it only works if the star in roughly in sight so if you want to use it efficiently to make power you need them in constant sight of the sun (they also get a bonus if they have sun for a longer period of time), so to achieve this you need to place the recievers roughly at the poles, where exactly depends on the angle of the axis of the planet, idk how much your planets axis is tilted but for me i basically had to use both poles so you maybe want to keep them clear for now, i dont know how much yours is tilted but mine is at about 3° and i have to use a pretty big area since the recievers themself are huge so well... Cheers have fun!
I have more trouble shooting the sails, I did place them on a circular north pole. Even though I make the sail orbit vertically so the gun can shoot even at awkward angle it just refuses to shoot for long time. Maybe Ill just put the guns encircling the equator..
@@Zanbatoss for me it worked best using a not orbit with a tilt of about 10° and placing the cannon themself a bit off (~30-50 squares) from the southpole
the best place is the equator, the line around the planet that has the most sun. I placed receivers every 45 degrees latitude to encircle the entire planet so I constantly recieve energy from the Dyson swarm
@@jeremyherrmann97 hat is probably the worst spot for them.... you need a lot of recievers and at best only half of them work, sure you might get a lot of power but you also need way more recievers than the pole method... it's basically the brute force way of getting them to work, sure it won't be efficent/cheap but it's simple and works

A lot of people had their eye on this, but I don't think anyone was expecting an Early Access title that feels more like a full release than Early Access. This is easily on the same level as Factorio and Satisfactory. And the best part? EVERYTHING you build you can go to and see it. Yes, even the dyson sphere itself!

not sure if these are things that you've noticed or not, however, if you hold shift when rotating to take off snapping, I've found that to be very useful when placing miners on resources.
i wondered about that! it seemed like it's false advertising to call something a "sorter" if they can't even sort, so i was confused why he wasn't doing that with them
One thing I'm noticing is that you're sticking to the grid for miners, which makes it difficult to cover multiple nodes. Hold Shift to override the grid snapping and you can make your miners much more efficient!
You need 12 nodes to fill a belt. If you cannot get 12 in one miner, then you need 2 miners and with 2 miners it is easy to get 6 each. Anything more is wasted anyway
@@Nilaus Maybe you just got luckier than me with node spawning, I had to use the free rotation/placement option to get more than 4-5 per miner. 6 definitely seems like the "optimal" amount to aim for, anything more is probably overkill.
