a cool trick i found with sidescraping in this thing is once you fire, you switch to the double mode and then once youve finished loading switch back into the single shot mode, and it keeps firing out of the barrel you originally shot at. It does add 2 seconds onto your reload but it means you dont have to expose your hull
I dont think its a smart move to build your marketing around an oppressive feeling for a GAME thats supposed to be FUN. Sadly ruined the game for me. Also to release premium tanks before the tech tree line. Its like scamming people because nobody knows how the tanks play out and so for me there is no reason for me buying the premium tanks anymore if i dont have the tech tree tank for it and to be honest most of the time I feel like the tech tree tank is not that good compared to their premium counterparts anyway

If WG cant enlarge the thing's weakpoint, I think they could slow its turret turning speed and lower its side armor, which make it slow to responding to threat from the side, that should stop at least many situation where driver just park this thing at good spot and sit forever. It is already full pain to dig some tank out, this thing is going to make it worst.

5:58 qb there is a workaround for this problem. you shoot, change into double barrel mode while reloading and change back after reloading and you're on the same barrel again.
WG strategy: buff a tank, make it crazy OP so everyone will rush to buy and equip it, then after 1 year nerf it and make it trash, and repeat with a new one.
I've whiffed some pretty spectacular shots with the dispersion of the contradictious in salvo mode. Getting better has meant taming the beast and being more judicious about when I apply the salvo.
Pro tip, same as the contradictious, if you switch to double barrel mode and switch back, it resets the barrel you are firing from, altough that would be 4 sec after reloading

Wargaming could have named the Canopener simply FV230 Heavy. Just like the T57 heavy. But no Wargaming had to come up with a totally goofy Name. Maybe this tank got some type of project Name and thats why its called canopener. I think we will never know because there is very little Information about the FV230, FV229 and FV228
I think stabs are useless as the soft stats in single mode are relatively good. I would put improved aiming as it will benefit in both fire modes and is significantly better in salvo mode

SPG's do not need buffs, they need a rework, they could take an example from WoWs where hitting a ship constantly with HE where it'll saturate and deal less damage with each hit on a ship's super structure, so what if we took that idea and made it so if you hit a certain tank by an SPG a certain amount of times and it begins to reduce the amount of stun and damage until it's no longer viable to target one tank, until maybe a certain time limit so its not completely punishing an SPG player but stops targetting a lot
@xvphoenixvii5146 absolutely not. That just promotes even more 1vsAll hulldown monsters with no turret weak spots. If nobody can pen anything, the only option is to push together to flank, or get a draw by camping. If you push, well guess what, it's TD party. If you don't push, it's still not an arty party. Because spgs already have long reloads for the amount of DMG they do and the stuns and tracks are almost always insta-healed - giving arty players no exp if the tank(s) they shot at a choke point got sent to hell immediately after healing the stun. There is no real way to deal with a heavy hull down meta with no turret weak points except for spgs to sit and do their work with 1-2 shots of 0-400 DMG on average per minute. Nobody wants their games to be always dependent on whether the mediums won. But then everybody will complain about spg (for doing their jobs) because they couldn't sit on 1 spot and be an impenetrable god. A few seconds of reduced reload or a few degrees of improved gun arcs will be balanced at the cost of lowered DMG or stun duration. Current spgs are ok, but it's just the fact that the games are so brokenly volatile nowadays that wins are decided within 3 minutes about 75% of the time.

"Their reload is long" isa bad argument, multiple other vehicles have long reloads and that makes them terrible but if it's an SPG then its perfectly fine, because you will always have guaranteed damage compared to the tank thats not artillery unless they also fire HE

Ive played the opener of cans and i have a hot take on the fact that i prefer my ST-II, altho the frontal armor isnt as great the troll side armor always seems to bounce, the tank isnt that slow and 8 degrees of gun depression on a russian tank feels rather nice. Maybe im just stuck in the past

What is missing is the balancer: the arty. Arties should be strong enough to break a hulled down meta. Removing the stunning mechanic and dealing more direct damage is how the arties can do this.
Arty doesn't shoot heavies... it shoots light tanks and TD's most of the time because they are in locations that are easier to hit and they take more damage. Arty is a terrible counter to heavies. It takes like 15 shots to kill most heavies which is basically the entire duration of a long game. Most games arty gets like 10 shots off tops.

Arties should be to be an effective tool against slower moving tanks. If balanced properly, heavies should fear arty fire. [WG could balance the class again. They are making money hand over fist. i really doubt firing a double for a speed boost is worth it if the enemy isn't about to cap out or if you don't need to join an ally in a tense endgame situation. Sure it is min-maxxing but in WoT you have to take your economy into account. Otherwise firing gold whenever it isn't disadvantageous would be smart.

There needs to be weak spots that T8 tanks can use as I really cant see many T8/9 tanks being able to do anything against these tanks with the crappy 3 lane maps WG have that have so many hull down spots to use. Anyone else getting tired of all these new gimmick tanks that always have to have some weird gimmick. We have WAY to many gimmick tanks and not nearly enough maps.
This is the test server. They're going to nerf the f* out of it right before release hoping to sucker in the XP whales before they realize the changes.
They give 80 ammo for a new tank. 33,5k avg total dmg if all pens. Meanwhile most T10 russian heavies have only 30(!!!!) that most of the time not even enough if you really need to 1v15, or you NEED to be very careful when, where and what to shoot. For example let's take the IS-4, a Maus with bond hardening can eat up half your ammo (calculating with some RNG misses, low rolls or wtf bounces), and that is just 1 tank out of 14. When will they decide to revaluate the ammo capacity for top tier tanks? Makes no sense.
I haven't been playing a lot of high-tier arty of late...Day One of the new patch it'll again be time to make friends and influence people, in a bad way! 🤣
I also don't like the buffs on the MVY, those -12 hull down tanks are simply toxic (hello Kranvagn) and should not be top tier tanks, they create bad games for everyone.
You critique WG for making it too fast and now you are critical of them making a hull down meta. QB, I have watched your videos for years and always liked your opinions, recently though you are becoming more and more of an insatiable player than an honest reviewer. You are more than entitled to your opinion, just rethink the constant negativity and complaining. Games are not easy to balance and no one opinion is going to be the right answer.
Pro tip: Ignore this tank and do not invest in it. Soon as a certain amount players unlock it they'll nerf bat this thing into oblivion like they do every other non CW competitive tier tank. Learn them a lesson and do not play it, or just full boar and support their toxic behaviors and confirm you're single digit IQ. They only learn through money, same goes for those stupid reward tanks for turning in all your hard earned materials.

I dont rate these Sales WoT videos any more. There are that many "Special" tanks in this game that its not worth playing tech tree any more! Even Premium tanks are difficult to play these days. As for noobies, they got even less chance of progress in the game its a joke now. I seem to be self drowning more these days when you can clearly see a losing game that has no point to play. 14 to zero 2 minute games are much more prevelant.

That's why arty, which everybody hates, are important - to rain shells on hull down tanks.

With bad turret traverse and tossing up if to use VStabs or not, why not try a rotation device?

WG continues in the wrong direction with more OP gimmicks instead of addressing real game issues.
If it's another hull down meta, then buff spgs just a tad bit where they can force people to engage/disengage from the stalemate spot.

340 still can't pen it hulldown at all though... You need like Jagdpanzer E100 or Ho-ri 3 gold for that
Hull down using the 10 degrees of gun depression this thing can basically be penned only by 420 heats. REALLY balanced sure

Make the new tier-X overpowered so everyone grinds for it, wait a few months, nerf it = WG modus operandi.
They give 80 ammo for a new tank. 33,5k avg total dmg if all pens. Meanwhile most T10 russian heavies have only 30(!!!!) that most of the time not even enough if you really need to 1v15, or you NEED to be very careful when, where and what to shoot. For example let's take the IS-4, a Maus with bond hardening can eat up half your ammo (calculating with some RNG misses, low rolls or wtf bounces), and that is just 1 tank out of 14. When will they decide to revaluate the ammo capacity for top tier tanks? Makes no sense.
I haven't been playing a lot of high-tier arty of late...Day One of the new patch it'll again be time to make friends and influence people, in a bad way! 🤣

I also don't like the buffs on the MVY, those -12 hull down tanks are simply toxic (hello Kranvagn) and should not be top tier tanks, they create bad games for everyone.

You critique WG for making it too fast and now you are critical of them making a hull down meta. QB, I have watched your videos for years and always liked your opinions, recently though you are becoming more and more of an insatiable player than an honest reviewer. You are more than entitled to your opinion, just rethink the constant negativity and complaining. Games are not easy to balance and no one opinion is going to be the right answer.

Pro tip: Ignore this tank and do not invest in it. Soon as a certain amount players unlock it they'll nerf bat this thing into oblivion like they do every other non CW competitive tier tank. Learn them a lesson and do not play it, or just full boar and support their toxic behaviors and confirm you're single digit IQ. They only learn through money, same goes for those stupid reward tanks for turning in all your hard earned materials.

I dont rate these Sales WoT videos any more. There are that many "Special" tanks in this game that its not worth playing tech tree any more! Even Premium tanks are difficult to play these days. As for noobies, they got even less chance of progress in the game its a joke now. I seem to be self drowning more these days when you can clearly see a losing game that has no point to play. 14 to zero 2 minute games are much more prevelant.

The tank is tooo OP , they need to other reduce the top speed or HP , otherwise its another balance destroyer tank which is going to ruin the game for everyone , who dont pick this hvy 😒

Contradictious is a disappointment. It is so big and clunky. I was happy that I got it, but in the end I enjoy Toro way more.
